How far is port to Miami to South beach area?

technically they abut each other but I'll guess you really want 'driving distance'

to exit the port, cross the MacArthur Causeway and get to the south end of Ocean Dr is about 5.5 miles. South Beach extends north from here ... the popular Lincoln Road area is about a mile from where MacA enters the area

Down here we don't measure distance in miles so much as we do in time.

Depending on where in South Beach, anywhere from 15-25 minutes.

Monday through Friday mornings heading downtown add about 10 minutes to that time.

Around 20 minutes. About a $30.00 taxi ride but can vary based on traffic and time of day and where you want to be dropped off.
