Labadee - Rocky beaches?

Had two cruises stop in Labadee and both times the beaches have had lots of rocks and coral on them making them difficult to step over safely into the sea. Even in the sea we were playing "dodge the rocks!"

Both times we were on the left hand side as you walk away from the ship.

Is there a section of beach which is softer underfoot?

Maybe we have tough feet, but we have never had to "dodge rocks" anywhere on Labadee...the Caribbean beaches are made of ground up shells and coral...not like East Coast beaches in the USA, that are softer, rounded rockets....ground up rocks that move nicely under foot. Caribbean beaches are harder, and firmer.

Then you have not gone to Adrenalin beach where we have dodged the boulders for the last 10 years.

We latched onto Barefoot beach before it was a gated suite beach, and have always set up stake there.

We have been fortunate to sail in GS or CL.

Right next door is Nellies and Columbus.

From time to time we encountered crushed shells at the waters edge and some years we have worn water shoes and others were a smooth entrance.

Lately crushed shells have been at the waters edge and can be a little rough as you enter the water.

If in a suite you will love Barefoot.

If not go to Nelllies or Columbus, and stay away from Adrenalin beach where the rocks have been there forever.

Safe travels.
