Whales in October, Marietas Islands

Just wondering if October is too early to see whales on this tour? Vallarta tours offers a boat ride out to the Island, and says you may see whales - but I know they spend the summer in Hawaii? So wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

I think it is too early, very unlikely you will see whales in October. The whale season starts beginning of December, although some whales were seen in November.

In all of my trips to PV I have never seen the whales in early Nov. I have seen a lot in Jan both land based and cruise vacations. They seem to come back in early Dec as Ine said.

We are typically in Vallarta the first three weeks in November. Whales rare before the 15th but become more common after that. Official whale watching excursions don't start until mid-December.
