Using a nebulizer on a 7 hour flight?

My DH and I are flying cross country. He usually uses his nebulizer every 4 hours. He can put it off some with his wiffer, but not for 7.5 hours.

Does anyone have any recent experience with this?

Does he have a battery operated one? I am looking at buying one so I can go and do my nebs in the bathroom. I know it would tie up the bathroom for a while but I think it would be better than my imitation of Darth Vader coughing and wheezing in the main part of the cabin

My husband will have a portable in our carry-on and his regular in his suitcase. Very convenient. He can even do it in the car "while I'm driving".

We live in Tampa, FL and usually cruise out of a FL port so this hasn't come up before about suspicious airline passengers worrying about everything!.

I carry my machine on a backpack. TSA has asked me about it but never made me take it out. Also, the meds don't count as part if your one quart bag of under 3 ounce liquids. I see the paleontologist tomorrow and will ask him about the battery operated ones.

Oh, autocorrect makes me laugh. It was a pulmonologist. Autocorrect still tried to override me. And "autocorrect" came up as skyrocket once and incorrect the other time. Wish Kindle had a better word program.

I have one from Omron...I love it ,it came in a case that looks like a larger eye glass case. You would not know I am using it even if you sat right next to me :) It is that quiet!

No need to go into a bathroom with this one.....I only use it for travel because replacement parts can be expensive.

I have used it every where ....... I mean if they can vape ,we can neb :)

I have never noticed anyone noticing me.

I can tell you it is such a relief to have one. Thankful I do not need it all the time yet, but when I do it is a comfort knowing I have it. Had a bad exacerbation when I hit Florida a few years ago, scared the you know what out of me:( Actually waited until I got on the ship to see a doctor:rolleyes:

Had a few up drafts and felt much better but I also learned that my own Neb would have helped me . I do not travel without my little Gem any more:)

Vaping is very quiet, and so is using this nebulizer.

I'm able to answer my own question now.

My husband used his portable nebulizer going to Seattle on Alaska Air and coming back on Southwest. No issues at all.

Big issue getting wheelchair assit in Las Vegas to change terminals.

We have only had to use wheelchair assist once ,in Atlanta, they were great!
