Belle Posted January 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2016 Sounds like a good thing to do today Come in and weigh and then walk a mile on this Thursday Doesn't take anything to weigh But for walking seem like everything gets in the way Walking is the easier exercise of all and we should do some each week Would be nice if we did other exercise too..to make us strong and not weak Work, family, cleaning, errands to run in the car We can fine the time to exercise before or after our duties...more important by far Eating healthy should be most important on our weight loss Be easier if the sugar food were healthy and veggies were to toss What foods do you eat to lose..different every day or everyday the same What exercise do you do..do you do different things and make it a game Main thing for us is to find what works for us and stick to it..at first hit or miss That could be different foods for each of us..some can eat more others less So come in and weigh and give us tips that help you
RNsoon2beNP Posted January 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2016 1st week working towards my weight goals. From 205lb to 199lb, 6lbs down. Long way to go still, but it feels good! I'm using the my fitness pal app, counting calories. 4xs at the gym this week and making little changes, taking the stairs, parking farther away, cut the creamer from my caffeine.... The little things add up :)
TornWonder Posted January 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2016 Wow, great job RN, six pounds in a week is amazing. I dropped a shade over 2 pounds this week, feels good to get back to my losing ways. Going to the gym regularly and I've started taking a couple of 15 minute walks throughout the work day, and of course counting calories. I'm looking to get back into ONEderland, looks like it should happen by the end of April, fingers crossed. How was your week Belle?
shootr Posted January 22, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2016 NICE! Everybody kicking butt and taking no prisoners. I get to add to the streak - down 1 to 177. My aunt is a yoga guru and just retired - she's my first Fitbit buddy so we keep pushing each to outpace the other. Heading to the high school tonight to walk some bleachers again - dragging the missus, who is less than thrilled with me at this moment :p. Eating pretty good, drinking lots of water, getting more sleep, and just trying to keep moving. A good week in my book.

retiring soon Posted January 23, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Hi all! Sorry to break the losing streak but I regained the same 1.4 lbs I lost the previous week!:( My 89 year old friend?, who had been going to WW up to 2 years ago, gifted me some Belgian Cupcake chocolates that each had 105 calories in them thus eliminating the calories burned on my 1/2 hour of Wii Fit 6 days a week! Of course they were too pretty not to eat so I did.:o Congrats to the rest of you doing so well! I better get back on MFP too as it's a good way to know exactly calories in & out. Have a nice weekend. Hope none of you are experiencing the big storm. ~ Jo ~ :)

shootr Posted January 24, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Since we have the good weather, I'd feel pretty crummy if I didn't take advantage of it: Another 4am ride, just around town though: (Camera phone pics - hence the cruddy quality) Edited January 24, 2016 by shootr
Belle Posted January 25, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted January 25, 2016 Exercise is great BUT.. Bike ride at 4am! What are YOU thinking? (great pictures thro)
shootr Posted January 25, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 25, 2016 I'm not very social when I ride - as most of the drivers, dogwalkers, and other cyclists wearing their super zoomy ultra cool bright and colorful spandex aren't either. The less we see of each other, the more enjoyable the ride - for me anyways... Binged yesterday watching my Cardinals get their brains beaten out - back to good eating today. Belle Posted January 25, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Your Cardinals lost.. They sure did take a beating! Bronco's winning was a surprise for some people. On to the Super Bowl 50 in SF. PS. You mean you don't wear bright color spandx? LOL Edited January 25, 2016 by Belle
shootr Posted January 27, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) Only the jersey - in the dark it's neon yellow and black for obvious reasons. Daytime is usually my Pink Floyd one - it's so rare I've yet to see another one anywhere. Got 105 flights of stairs in last night at the school. I think I'm going to push that for a while, hoping it might be the ticket for the little side rolls over my belt line. And my poor Cardinals, didn't think they could win without a perfect game, but man, to get that blown out really stung. Should be a great SB though.
