How to find the best price

We would like to take a European river cruise next year and have heard to never pay the brochure price. What is the best way to find the lowest price on this or any cruise?

Do a lot of research with different suppliers.:)

Comparison shopping is your best bet. Click on the various providers. Many offer specials like airfare. Also check TAs that book these types of trips. Many advertise here on CC so click their links.

Happy hunting.

I contacted lots of TAs and asked for their best price (Google is my friend! :D). I told them I was a serious buyer and would book within a week I put together a spreadsheet to hold everyone's offer and picked the best deal. The ship and itinerary were the same, so why should I pay more than I have to??

In you consultation with a TA, the more flexible with dates and itinerary you can be could help the TA present several pricing options. There are times that you may be dead set on one specific week but the week before or after may have some better pricing and on board options.
