goldenprincess53 Posted August 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2005 Has anyone flown into Vancouver Airport and then taken a cruise from Seattle? If so, what mode of transportation did you take to get to Seattle/port. Any info is appreciated.
Sandy R Posted August 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2005 Last year we flew into Vancouver airport, stayed a few days in Vancouver, then drove a rented car down to Seattle and stayed there a few days prior to our cruise. As I recall it took about 2 1/2 hours, including the wait at the border. If you are thinking of doing the drive, which is easy, do some research on the alternate road to the B.C./Washington border crossing, which is maybe a mile before the main border crossing. It really helped to have that info. We could see the cars slowing for the main crossing so we veered off and drove to the alternate crossing, which was only about a 10-15 minutes wait. Cruise_More_Often Posted September 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2005 Has anyone flown into Vancouver Airport and then taken a cruise from Seattle? If so, what mode of transportation did you take to get to Seattle/port. Any info is appreciated. Hope this isn't too late. There's a bus that runs from Vancouver (many stops, including the Vancouver airport) to Seattle (including both cruise terminals). Here's the link for QuickCoach. We took it last year to get to the Seattle airport from Vancouver, and we plan to take it from Canada Place to Pier 66 next summer.
Budget Queen Posted September 6, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2005 You need to allow 4 hours for the drive Vancouver/Seattle. There is Quick Shuttle as mentioned, Amtrak, and one way car rentals. I have rented from National, Avis, Budget, Alamo. There is also Hertz.
