Driving into Miami on Friday the 27th of NOvember(day after Thanksgiving) spending the night and boarding a cruise on the 28th. We'd like to leave our car at a hotel/motel that offers free parking and possibly a shuttle to the port.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

LaQuinta East. But you will have to take a taxi back to the hotel post cruise.

http://www.stay123.com and http://www.parksleepfly.com are two sources for hotels offering cruise parking deals.

As downtown hotels charge guests $25-30+/day to park most of the deals you will find will be out near the airport and NONE includes a free shuttle back to your car - as mentioned above budget $25-30 for a cab post cruise.

Besides La Quinta check out the MIA Embassy Suites, Springhill Suites Medical Center and a couple of hotels in the Blue Lagoon neighborhood near MIA - Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn.

We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott last time and it was wonderful! Booked directly with the hotel. They didn't have a shuttle to the port but it was gated and had two other hotels (Marriott and Courtyard by Marriott) on the property. The taxi was about $25.00 each way and our car was secure the entire trip! We love the Residence Inn! It's like an apartment with breakfast included too! There were several good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (Latin Cafe 2000) and never felt unsafe. It's right near the airport too.
