Can someone recommend a good seafood restaurant in

Galveston?

Gaido's - It hasn't been in Galveston for more than 100 years for no reason. Seriously it is very good as is Casey's next door that is owned by the same people.

That's my favorite place to eat seafood in Galveston!

In my opinion, Guidos is too high for what you get. I much prefer Fisherman's Wharf or Willie G's, both on Pier 21 for dinner and Fish Tales or Bennos, on the seawall for lunch. There is also kind of a dive where all the locals seem to hang out called Shrimp and Stuff, which is in town. All of these are good!

Joe’s Crab Shack returns to Pier 19 this past week

In addition to Joes on Seawall,

that makes these

all by the Harbor House and Tremont Hotels:

Fishermans Wharf Seafood

Willie G's Seafood

Olympia Greek Grill and Seafood

Joes Crab Shack and Seafood

and Le Croys Cajun Seafood one block away on Strand

and Rudy and Pacos and Seafood

Saltwater Grill

Gumbos

Sky Bar and Sushi

Pearl Oyster Bar

a couple of more blocks away from these restuarants

and Hotels

  • 1 month later...

I looked at the reviews and said, "Gaidos must be good. it's been there so long." Well, I was wrong. It was terrible food, and it was expensive to boot. I don't mind paying for good food, but I surely did not think that we had good food. We stopped at a grocery for snacks since we really didn't eat much at Gaidos. I've had frozen shrimp that tasted better than their shrimp. The service was OK, but the food... no way.
