corpkid Posted February 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2013 So we finally bit the bullet and took a luxe-lite cruise on Azamara (10 days in S. America) and LOVED IT. So much so that we booked a 10 day N. Europe this coming August on Oceania. Of course, we are already thinking ahead to "where next?"... Asia keeps popping up (specifically a Hong Kong - Singapore trip), probably Sept 2014. That all said, we are looking to try yet another line (doesn't look like either Azamara nor Oceania will be offering this region during this time). Any advice on which lines we should peruse for offereings? We are still rather new to the luxe cruising world. Many thanks.
Travelcat2 Posted February 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2013 There must be a reason why cruise lines do not sail that area in September but do not know what it is. Checked the four major luxury lines: Silversea, Seabourn, Regent and Crystal - none of them have September, 2014 Asian cruises. Silversea has the most choices ....... here is a link to their Asia cruises for 2013-2014: http://www.silversea.com/destinations/asia/?region=
Chairsin Posted February 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2013 We cruised Singapore to Hong Kong on Seabourn a few years ago in December. We enjoyed wonderful weather ( with the exception of one day of rough seas as we passed through the Straits of Hainan). Since Seabourn's little ships are being sold this may literally be your last chance to cruise on them( at least under the Seabourn name).
wripro Posted March 12, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2013 The main reason is heat and humidity. It doesn't get nice until November.
