Gem Pool Question

Does the Gem have the ability to cover the pool during bad weather.

Nope. :(.

The pool deck can't be covered. The only pool that can be covered during bad weather is the one in the Haven.

For the non-Haven public - there are 2 main ones...

The Adult pool with hot tubs...

The main pool (or family pool) with hot tubs...

Then there is the waterslide..

And the Children's "Paddle Pool"

Shof - The Gem has two pools on deck 12 w/4 hot tubs and one kiddie pool off to the side (the area in crusinmama's pics). There is also a small pool and a hot tub in the Courtyard (now Haven) on Deck 14. I'm not sure what's in the spa, some of the ships have pools there, but I haven't used the spa. :)

THIS IS THE HAVEN ON JEWEL - but from what I understand, they look almost identical. ;)

And yes, there is a thalassotherapy pool on Gem in the spa, I didn't use it so I don't have pictures of this one.

The Haven pool is an "endless-swim-against-the-current" exercise pool.

This may be missing your point, but

in really bad weather (subject to interpretation) the pools get drained and covered with a heavy netting to prevent passengers falling in. Had a few of those on various TAs.
