Lonedaddy Posted January 31, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2012 Looking for a 4 night pre or post cruise type stay to relax without crowds for honeymoon. Both these have some nice resorts. Anybody have pro's or con's. Looks like tahaa has more vegitation and tikehau has an amazing lagoon. probably can't go wrong with either but give me your opinions please. Emdee Posted February 7, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2012 Know someone who went to Tahaa and they said it was amazing. The ship circumnavigates Tahaa on the Motu Mahana day and it has looked wonderful. Wouldnt Tikehau be more off the beaten path?

Emdee Posted February 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2012 Lonedaddy, Whatever you book use a resort that has all the facilities - the mosquitoes can be bad in some of the little resorts. There was someone on this board who went to one of those bed and breakfast type of places and was complaining bitterly about the mossies. Last year in the IC in Toronto we were not bitten at all and I did see them fogging the place early in the morning.
Wendy The Wanderer Posted February 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2012 You might want to do some research over at: http://www.tahiti-explorer.com/forums/ubbthreads.php where there is a wealth of information about the different islands and specific resorts.
