Autoprogreso: Book Online or Wait?

Checking out the package tours with Autoprogreso. Does anyone have a handle on whether the price is less expensive booking online or on site the day of?

Do NOT pay in advance to AP. it is a disaster because they do not have any way to know who pays when you reach port. Most of their customers are walk ons.

We paid in advance and a a receipt. They still did not know what to do at the port and we ended up having to ride into tow to resolve with their main office.

The walk ons just paid the guy at the port and left an hour before us!

Their buses are new and very large, you will not have any problem as a walk on.

We have booked them both ways and never had a problem. Our tour that we booked online went fine-they had all our info there and were waiting for us. But the tours we have booked when we get there went well also.

We have used them several times. You can make a reservation online then pay when you arrive. However, they only take cash when you pay in person.

Yes they do. Basically everyone in the tourist areas of Progreso and Merida will take your US dollars.

Yes I was just in Progreso 4 days ago and they are glad to take your American $$. I've not found any place yet in that area that won't take dollars.
