  2. One answer is a challenge trial. Most trials count on exposure by chance. A challenge trial exposes subjects to the virus after vaccination.
  3. OT. As I read posts, it has become evident to me my social circle is getting smaller and smaller. Quite a contingency of members cannot participate without becoming disrespectful or borderline abusive.
  4. I beg to differ. The attached link attributes 849 positive cases for one day for New York State, dated September 12, 2020. https://www.governor.ny.gov/news/governor-cuomo-announces-new-record-high-number-covid-19-tests-reported-new-york-state-0
  5. That would be quite a feat, below 500 a day in a nation of almost 330,000,000.
  6. Curious that the ship departed hours early. The itinerary Petra posted listed port time until 6 pm. Easy to surmise all the passengers were onboard though, so no ramp runners.
  7. Except the local authorities do not wield the power. They may at some future point, but they do not now.
  8. Would you believe the same standard should apply to any non-essential business? Certainly in that vein, all leisure and “vacation” businesses risk exposure which you feel unnecessary. But that extends beyond ships, hotels, restaurants, air travel.... (I acknowledge the personal nature of your concerns. I am not disputing or diminishing.)
  9. You have to acknowledge that many non-essential businesses are currently allowed to operate.
  10. Company needs to update their guidance to sync with Bahamas. Company’s last update was July 13, 2020. It no longer matches Bahamian requirements. https://www.bahamas.com/tourism-reopening
  11. I imagine passengers staring at final payment deadlines approaching are most on edge. Will they or won’t they?
  12. Do tell. I have not located a good view of Trieste port.
  13. Last time I sailed out of Galveston, no terminal had an attached parking garage. Admittedly, my observation is ancient.
  14. A far sight more than $25. Seriously, it could be found in the settlement agreement filed.
  15. The world goalpost should not be zero. It will never be zero.
  16. We stayed in a Grand Scenic Ocean View (6K) aboard Sunshine. Man, it was huge! Loved the view, wall o’ windows!
  17. The following is quoted directly from an article about the Abbott test. I cannot vouch whether the author relays the information accurately, but here it is: Antigen tests can be much faster, but they are often less accurate. That doesn’t appear to be the case with the new Abbott design. According to FDA, the Abbott test correctly identifies patients with SARS-CoV-2 97.1% of the time and people without the virus 98.5% of the time.
  18. I have read at least one Article which attributes 97% accuracy to the Abbott test.
  19. To clarify: PC is Port Canaveral. The Port Canaveral officials have to budget based on what they know, what they have been told and their best guess projection.
  20. When did I ever state I was not wearing a mask!
