Cabin 7160 on Jewel

Hi. Thinking of booking a B2B on the Jewel of the Seas and the only balcony cabin available for both segments in our price range is 7160.

2 concerns - First, have read that we would look down on the lifeboats.

Second, noticed on the deck plans it shows a rounded shape out from the balconies in that area. Why?

There are no lifeboats under 7160, however, the rounded area that you mention will obstruct the view directly downwards. It's caused by deck 6 below projecting out further than deck 7 in that area.

Don't worry about the lifeboats...they are below ALL cabin decks! Aside from not being able to see the actual hull of the ship, your outward view will be fine.

Thanks so much. I understand now. Yes, I think that the circled cabin is 7160. So now, again 2 problems - don't like the ladder just above the cabin (or have I been seeing too many old "Jewel Thief" movies:eek:). Also, the noise from the protruding 6th floor lounge.

May have to upgrade just a bit.

Is the picture above a personal picture? I am booked in 7126 and was wondering if there was a picture of the exterior like the one above to give me some idea of what I get to look forward to. This is my 2nd cruise, first on RCL.

Glad to. Keep in mind 7126 will look down on the life boat covers.

Here is a picture looking forward and down from 8656 on Radiance [docked in San Diego] to give you an idea. 8656 is on the Starboard side and about 17 cabins aft of 7126 [and obviously one deck up].
