Clarea Posted August 21, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 21, 2014 agreed. Emerald is just a tease. I've always felt that Emerald was added to appease people who were getting close to Diamond, but found themselves a cruise or two farther away when Royal moved to points. CRUISEBOY305 Posted August 21, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I've always felt that Emerald was added to appease people who were getting close to Diamond, but found themselves a cruise or two farther away when Royal moved to points. I wasn't Emerald for very long. with emerald you get a slightly bigger balc discount than Platinum ($25 more I think) and you get the snack basket (or as of lately, bag) that Diamonds get. I see Emerald more like Platinum Plus.
