  1. This is a good point. When we first went on Cunard in 1997, we changed up to travel in a QG cabin on the grounds it was the holiday of a lifetime, etc, etc. That decision must have cost us thousands and thousands. 😀
  2. I don’t think we should bother about the deck plan details. For instance, QG on QE bears no remembrance to reality, and only has about 440 places.
  3. Not on my older menus, I think. But as I’m mid-packing, I don’t think I today is the day to find them and check. 😀 PS Yuck, however it is spelt. 😀
  4. It has been the menu pattern for some time. PS Yuck. 😀
  5. I did think you might get a commemorative bit of Wedgwood.
  6. Yes, if it’s not busy, they’ll probably let you in anyway.
  7. Massachusetts, the home of the sacred cod. But isn’t random white fish called scrod?
  8. Of course non vegetarians choose the veggie options, just as a surprising number of so called vegetarians seem to think fish is a vegetable. But, and this is completely subjective, I really don’t think anywhere near 40% of the people around me at dinner choose the veggie dishes.
  9. He would be willing to alternate I’m sure, but his hearing is so much improved if he has an all behind him that he would be very miserable the other way round - and I would be very miserable.
  10. Telling would be one thing, but advice is always gratefully received. I am worried about spending a fortnight looking at the wall in the QG though.
  11. Yes, I think it is extraordinarily disproportionate, considering that there is a separate veggie menu.
  12. That is such good news. There has been so much negativity, I actually asked my husband this morning if he wanted to cancel, though it wasn’t the only reason. But no, I am in the middle of packing.
  13. It is a fascinating phenomenon. Do you remember how long it seemed to half term - or even Friday - when you were at primary school? And six week summer holidays seemed infinite, whereas, when I was a teacher, eight week summer holidays rushed by in a blink.
