  1. I would recommend asking that question in the following cc forum as there are some real experts in that sort of thing that post there. British Isles/Western Europe - Cruise Critic Community
  2. If someone picks an itinerary, it is not "crappy" for them if it is what they want.
  3. As you can see from the post after yours, no charge. As I said in a previous post, an excellent use of the tax dollars you spent.
  4. Let me first say it was a pleasure reading the posts from all of you who were on this cruise (and the comments too from others). There have been so many negative posts about the Prima that it is heart warming to read such positive experiences. And we too enjoyed our Prima cruise this past summer.
  5. Makes you not feel as bad for paying taxes as some of it goes for a good cause.
  6. I am really jealous of you guys who met on the ship. I had suggested in the roll call for our Prima cruise last summer a meet and greet, but basically got no response. I did later when I posted a review in this forum for our cruise, did get a hello from someone who said they had met me at trivia. I did remember them.
  7. And I should add Edinburg. Scotland to that list. Really some of the most fascinating cities in the world are a cruise and a tender away.
  8. Did you need music again to motivate you to pack? 🤣 (I'm the one who suggested Going to Mexico by the Steve Miller Band). It seems not that long ago you were having trouble being motivated to pack. 🤦‍♂️
  9. Thanks, if we are lucky enough to sail on the Prima again, I will look for that. We did not struggle with the steep incline despite me being in my 70s and DW almost 70. (She had her 70th birthday on our river cruise earlier this year.)
  10. I still think they would just want to drop it after settling and getting a non-disclosure agreement. There would be no guarantee of getting any compensation from the agency, and why risk more publicity? I guess we should agree to disagree on this subject.
  11. And not just Rome. There is also Paris, Florence, Athens and maybe more I don't know about because we have not been there. (note have not been to Paris on a cruise, but was there on a land trip). I guess I should add London. We did not have to get there from the port, but stayed in London before sailing (both from Dover and Southampton). for @ChiefMateJRK, hardly crap ports.
  12. Sounds like a good decision. And you can monitor earlier cruises than yours (unless of course yours is the first one) and see if they do dock there. If so, you can cancel your more expensive NCL excursion and book a local one. I would check out the local ones so that I knew what I wanted before the time came that I knew for sure whether the ship had been docking there. We, unfortunately booked with a local tour operator before it became evident that the ship was not docking there at any time. 😒 And it really sounded like it was going to be a fun tour.
  13. I'm sure you have heard by now that the Prima's lifeboats are not certified for tendering. I guess the Prima could tender passengers if the port provides tender boats. Last summer every port stop in Isafjordur was cancelled as the new dock was not finished and the ship would not tender passengers.
  14. The Prima's lifeboats are not certified for tendering. So, the only way you will tender is if the port provides the tender boats. Last summer, the Prima missed every port call in Isafjordur because the port had not finished its dock construction and the ship could not tender.
  15. And a news agency could publicize that legal action and keep the original incident in the public's awareness. I don't think they would want that.
