  1. I think I will try calling to see about getting reservations for that first night. I had thought it would be fairly easy to get them if I went right to the box office on boarding day. However, in searching for my answer I came across a post from someone who was not able to do so that first day. She reported that even with the UDP, and going to reserve the show (this was the Breakaway I think) right away, they were already sold out. So I got nervous...

    Thanks!

  2. We just cancelled our planned cruise on Oasis in May in favor of the Getaway due to the great prices. I have searched for this answer on these forums and it is not mentioned in the terms and conditions or FAQs of the UDP...

We are considering the UDP (we chose the UBP with the promo), but ONLY if it includes Illusionarium the first night. As of right now, there is no availability on-line for the show that first night. I realize that I may be able to get tickets once on board, however, if I can't, can I then cancel the UDP for DH and I that first day?

Also, I have already booked (and paid) for Illusionarium on another night (the only availability for the early show). If I am able to switch my reservations to the first night once on board, I should be able to cancel the existing reservation (more than 24 hours) for a full refund, correct?

Thanks so much for your help! This is our first time with NCL, so I'm a bit nervous:o!

  3. Hi Everyone!

I need some advice re: which cabin may work out better for us (DH, myself, and my 8 & 3 yo). We are in a D4 (oceanview balcony). Right now we are in 6542, which is Deck 6 Forward. I like being on the same deck as the Boardwalk, though I realize it's ALL the way on the other end of the ship. How are the ocean views on this deck?

However, I see that 8674 is open too. I love that it is on the Central Park deck and closer to it than we would be to the Boardwalk on Deck 6. I also like that the Deck 8 cabin is close to the elevators and near a bar;)! However, my only concern is that the Deck 8 cabin seems to be right outside of Dazzles (the nightclub). I am wondering if there will be a lot of late night noise and/or traffic due to the dance club being right there? We (at least my daughter and I) will usually be in the cabin by 9pm. It doesn't have to be extraordinarily quiet, but somewhat so, so that she can sleep. Does anyone have experience with the cabins right there?

Your help is appreciated - thanks!

  4. As ATC Cruiser mentioned, try the booking several ways. It can be cheaper to get 2 cabins with the 2nd person 50% off promotion if you are willing to book lower level cabins. The 3rd and 4th passengers are technically "free", but they do jack up the prices of the 1st and 2nd passengers when you use that promotion. The 1st and 2nd passengers were about $300 more pp when we booked for 4, as opposed to if we were just booking for 2. It's still a savings, but it's more like getting one person free as opposed to 2.

  5. There was a link on a previous thread for a TripAdvisor review in which the writer had participated in a longer, interactive chocolate tour at Graycliff. She had described getting to make a chocolate bar. I'm wondering if anyone has ever done this? Would it be appropriate for children ages 7 and 11? Thanks in advance:)

  6. WooHoo! This is the info I come here for:D I was able to upgrade from a balcony to a Junior Suite for our 4-night cruise on the Enchantment in May (there are 4 of us) for $200 less!!! I did have to cancel and re-book, but since I'm more than 60 days out from my sail date (I believe it's 75 days for week-long cruises), there is no cancellation fee. Totally worth it! Oh, and I did get through to Crown and Anchor quicker.
