  1. I didn't even start the checkin process for May 27th cruise and it says i am in the middle of it. I didn't even bother checking up on what the mess it. Will deal with in a month when hopefully everything stabilizes.

How did you even get to the page to see check-in? The only thing I can access is the cruise planner (on the page where you input your name and reservation number). I cannot see dining preferences, check-in, or anything else that was on the old dashboard.

  2. OK, bear with me here, because I am thoroughly confused...we just booked 1810 on Navigator for April 2019. When we booked, the room was described as a Spacious Panoramic Ocean View, with a cabin size of 283 sq. ft. There were no other panoramic ocean view categories available. Now, looking at other deck plans, posts, etc., it appears these rooms are actually 191 - 215 sq. ft. Now, the really confusing part...when looking on the deck plans on Royal's site, 1810 is currently listed as a P2 (Panoramic Ocean View) with a square footage of 191-215 sq. ft. HOWEVER, when you look at the deck plans (on the same page/site) for January 2019 through April 2019, 1810 changes to a 1L category (Spacious Panoramic Ocean View) with square footage of 283 sq. ft. Is it really possible that they are making those rooms larger during their next dry dock? That just doesn't seem feasible to me. It seems more likely that the deck plans and booking engine are just incorrect, which is incredibly irritating, because we booked this room specifically for the size. Does anyone have any clarification they could offer? And, yes, I already called. They are sticking with the 191-215 sq. ft. size and had no idea what to tell me about the discrepancy.

  3. Bringing this thread back to life because it’s the closest one I could find to my question. Just got off an amazing week on Harmony. We saw several characters throughout the week for meet and greets, including Poppy and Branch from Trolls. However, the main parade was not Dreamworks-themed. We were really surprised, as we saw amazing Dreamworks parades on both Freedom and Oasis. Also, the selection of Dreamworks merchandise on the ship (which was plentiful on Oasis) was lacking as well. My daughter was hoping to add to her plush collection with some Trolls, but there were none. Does anyone know if the de-emphasis on Dreamworks is isolated to Harmony or if it is extending fleet wide as well?

  4. I wanted to clarify with someone re: the 24 hours of free Internet...

    1. Does the 24 hours start when you activate it? Or, do you choose a day and it's 12am to 12am?

    2. Is it 24 hours PER Diamond member? We are four in a cabin (myself, husband, and two kids) and are all Diamond, does that mean we get FOUR 24 hour periods? Or, is it just two, one per adult?

    Thanks!

  5. It's south of the airport. It's not that far, but it's not right there either.

There's a small shopping center not far from the cruise terminal. Not sure there's anywhere to grab a snack that time of day, but look for "Baltimore Wine Market" on Google maps, and you'll see the area. It's convenient to I-95 and there's decent parking for a handoff.

Otherwise I'll defer to someone from the immediate area.

I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!

  6. Are you coming up from North Carolina that day? Where are they coming from?

It might be easiest to meet in the Arundel Mills area and you just drive on in to the port. Plenty of options around there. But that assumes you're coming in from the south and that's not too inconvenient for them.

Yes, we are coming from the south and them from the north. However, we don't want them to have to drive further than necessary. How far is Arundel Mills from the port?

  7. My husband and I are meeting my parents to drop off the kids before boarding the Grandeur on Saturday. We will probably meet up around 10-11am. Is there a good place near the port to meet? I wouldn't mind a restaurant that would be open at that time, even a fast food place. However, I'm having trouble figuring out what would be close. Thanks!

  8. I am Diamond + and have set my upgrade preferences to "no upgrade". We always book a Grand Suite and the only cabin we're interested in a complimentary upgrade to is an Owner's Suite since we don't care for the lofts because we prefer everything on one flloor. We have B2B cruises booked in Sept on Anthem and there are approx. 18 GS & above cabins left. Has anyone ever received an upsell call with "no upgrade" under their preferences. I'd be interested in an upsell for an OS (no longer available), but won't change my preferences and risk being moved to a loft.

Yes! This past cruise on Navigator we had a corner aft balcony I didn't want to lose, so I set my preferences to No Upgrade. However, a couple weeks before sailing they called to offer me an upsell to a junior suite.

  9. I get double points all the time. I can't get my 150% supplement price during certain times.

I put a name in there, person is a no show, I get the taxes back for the second person AND I get double points, triple if in a JS.

Once in awhile, I do have to call for my double points.

This year, I booked a NYE cruise and put a name in.

Since I have to pay for Two people, I called Club Royale.

I was happy to get a JS for 2 people for $2073.

I will get $85.78 taxes back for the second person.

If someone can go, great, if not, no problem.

It is only a 5 night cruise, but I will get 15 points.

I think of it as $/pts.

So....... Less than $133 per point.

The Enchantment GS (9) points is way more..... $200 per point.

This cruise, Club Royale couldn't beat my single supplement rate.

I wish they would change the rules for Club Royale and the single supplement.

Royal would love to have more solo D+ with over 350 points gambling in the casino.

There are some, but not many.

  10. 2 questions...does the balcony discount apply to Central Park/Boardwalk balconies, or just ocean view? Also, if I book 2 balconies for my family of 4 (myself and one child in one and my husband and other child in the other), could I get the balcony discount applied to both cabins? Thanks!
