  1. Yurisa, bsddc is right.I also live here in Florida. We just started sailing with Disney in 2012.We did our first 2 cruises on the big ships, then in January I saw a great Florida rate for Panama, and booked it.It was oceanview, and at the port we checked for a balcny upgrade and got one at a reasonable price. This year we had planned 2 trips for our 40th ann.We saw Southern Caribbean after we had paid for this years Alaska trip, but couldn't do it.A week after returning from Alaska great rates for this cruise were up for Florida residents, and so we did it!You just have to watch the special rates area!

Not only is the Panama Canal absolutely fascinating, but the ports are better than the Western.

When we went on the Panama Canal cruise (with Disney), it was like being at home. I honestly don't like the Dream and Fantasy. I don't like the adult club area's layout as well as on the Magic and Wonder (and I especially LOVE the Wonder), everything seemed too crowded, too hectic and too long a walk to the room and back, lines were too long......being back on the Wonder or Magic is like heaven. Perfect size. And with a cruise as long as the PC cruises, you really get to feel as though you are a part of the whole experience, like a member of the DCL family. It really is awesome.

I have to admit that after now being on The Magic, and having been on the Wonder twice,I do agree with you.It tends to feel a bit more like "family" if you will!

  3. On the Magic (September 2014)' date=' the dividers cannot be removed or opened up. Since the Wonder has not had a major dry dock, I'm certain that it is the same there. Sorry.[/quote']

we were on The Magic a couple weeks ago,and the dividers on our side had not been closed yet.We and our neighbors discovered this when we got into our rooms, and went onto the balcony. So there are some balcony dividers on Magic that can be opened.

You can also speak to guest services or DCL about having the divider opened if that is possible .

  4. I would highly suggest speaking to one of the knowledgeable Dinsney Cruise Vation planners who are very very helpful. There is also a Disney Mom's panel where you can ask questions also.September is a good month,as rates are lower.Anything during the "seasonal" months will be more costly, and summertime, and spring breaks, plus major holidays there are more kids.Disney can also let you book a land and sea vacation which you'll see on the website!;)

  5. I've been through the years where the AIDS epidemic flew through the world. It was scary, yes, but anything can happen at any given moment to anyone anywhere.I don't let it worry me.I work in a grocery store, and am exposed to all kinds of people every hour, every day.Why panic, enjoy your vacation.don't let this stop you from living your life.I refuse to let this stop me from living my life.;)

  6. eroller, great review! We were on this same cruise from the 27th to the 4th,and absolutely loved every moment. This was our 1 st time on the Magic, and our 5th Disney cruise.I agree, you can't beat what Disney has to offer! The entertainment director did a fantastic job! There was always something to do!We're really hoping they offer this cruise again,as we want to do it again! So now we'll be on the Fantasy again next year. With Disney, you just can't stay away!!:D

  7. We often use the Fla resident specials too.Check the Special Offers section. You'll often find some great deals at certain times of year.People seem to think that DCL is expensive, but if you do a land trip to Disneyworld,by the time you figure hotels, gas, souvenirs, food, etc, etc, you'll be spending probably at least as much if not more. You get alot for what you pay for on a Disney cruise!;)

  8. on our last couple of Disney cruises, the Lunch buffet was kept open a little longer than normal to accomodate all the late arriving tours,a really nice gesture on their part.

And I agree thats it a good idea to check your tour times and the dining room times. You get copies of it every day so that you can plan accordingly.

  9. thats correct. The only time your dining times are different will be in Palo or Remy. Most of us line up at the restarant before the doors open when we have early seating. You can choose either the early or late seating,if early, you'll see the show after dinner.if late, you'll see the show before dinner.

  10. Welcome! We love having dinner at Palo.Plan on being there for at least 2 hours. The food and the atmosphere are well worth it.We're 2 middle age adults, and we enjoy cruising Disney. We'll be taking our 4th cruise on the Magic in 2 weeks.Yes,there are plenty of things for adults only.We enjoy watching the kids looking foward to seeing characters,or spending time walking the promende deck after a meal,or many of the activities that are offerd.I'm sure that this will not be your last time either!Enjoy!;)

  11. Hi to the first timers on this thread. We're also HAL newbies and will be cruising the Caribbean on the Eurodam in March of 2015.I'm really enjoying the friendliness of this group! All these little tips are great to know.Every cruise I look forward in anticipation for what will happen.I've heard really good things about HAL,and DH & I are looking foward to our sailing next year!;)
