  1. I think the OP is talking a dining venue called that, not the meal.
  2. You won't know till you try it - yes, some have cancelled their UDP on board when they couldn't get the times they wanted.
  3. The ship "servers" don't have the app, only the Play store (or App store in case of iPhone) has the app. What you experienced is an update in the underlying data within the app - that gets updated all the time, but the app itself stays the same version and doesn't change. FYI - much/all of what you posed could have been abbreviated and is known by frequent users for years. Also, none of this depends on Starlink - the same is true regardless of the kind of internet connection the ship has. P.S. Only a limited number of phones can hot spot a wifi signal - yours just happens to be one of them. P.P.S. A real useful trick is to get 15 minutes of free Stream by clicking on the Play store link.
  4. What you and what is really available are likely two different things.
  5. No issue checking in; whether he can get in the line whenever he arrives without a check in time is up to the screening staff.
  6. It's better than the former O3B system, though than download speed (8Mbps) may be further limited in the future (on most ships it's limited to about 4 Mbps, even with Starlink). The end user may not notice any degraded performance in day-to-day use even with the lower limit. The biggest gain in performance is from that ping number (40ms) - it's 5 times better than O3B and more than 12 times better than legacy systems.
  7. The list price won't tell the whole story - they sometimes may have specials which may bring the price down, but in general, there's usually nothing on the ship cheaper on board than in the planner. You can buy in the planner and if by some miracle something is cheaper on board, buy it and can cancel the planner purchase for OBC.
  8. Welcome to CC and many of the non-Broadway shows on many ships - don't go there for a story line.
  9. In a browser go to a site like fast.com or install a speed measuring app.
  10. The D+ discount is usually $52, hence your $2 left last time. I assume the 24 hour Surf package went up to $28/day to come up with the current $56 discount.
  11. He might be busy and take a while to post, but @Ourusualbeach might provide some insight.
  12. It works well enough, if the users know how it works - the fourth person logging in bumps one of the other three. For a family with plenty of things to remember, a single login saves some memory cells.
  13. Many have done so - a simple call to a knowledgeable RCI CSR can take care of it.
  14. Keep checking the planner - if never offered there, it may not be on the ship either.
  15. What I meant is that when you turn on wifi on the ship (in airplane mode) and connect to the ship wifi but don't have a Voom login, some internet traffic may get through to your phone anyway - like iMessage texts from someone off the ship.
  16. You just need the booking info for the other cabins - CSRs get a lot of things wrong.
  17. That again may depend on the barista/ship and perhaps even more punches per drink.
  18. Don't buy gift certificates - you can buy OBC directly at any time but remember that the exchange rate RCI uses is not directly tied to the official rate (it varies at its own pace).
