  1. The Medallion app is supposed to work with Android version 8.0 and above. Do you know what version your phone is running? You can find it in Settings -> About Phone.
  2. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, bought late 2018, and I had no problems loading the app. The app has mostly worked very well for me.
  3. I "heard" a rumour that Diamond could be coming back instead.
  4. Have a wonderful time and we'll no doubt see you onboard on the 26th.
  5. Yes, it took a few months for the world, and the cruise lines, to come to terms with the pandemic. I think it's a bit unfair to slam most of the cruise lines too much about slow delays on refunding those initial cruises affected by the start of the pandemic. It must have been a complete nightmare for them and the refund process isn't an automatic one. It was a bit scary waiting to see if/when you'd get your money back though. We had one big cruise where we managed to get the final payment amounts back through a credit card chargeback but had to wait almost a year to get the remainder back. Once things stabilized most of the cruise lines were very good about cancelling before final payments were due and offering various options - refund, move-over, or FCCs with s small bonus.
  6. We're interested in trivia times. I got an email the other day saying the production show Encore will be on the 26th June cruise. I love this show and it's predecessor Bravo. It's usually popular songs from opera and musicals, with a guest artist - either a soprano or tenor. Glorious music and costumes.
  7. Thanks everyone. We were lucky to have him home for a couple of days before the end. He was much more relaxed at home and enjoyed snoozing in all his favourite sunny spots, and on my lap in the evenings.
  8. Our beloved cat, Niki, passed away peacefully earlier this evening. He will be missed.😪😪😪
  9. These.were the prices in 2019. We won't know if they've changed until cbtours gets onboard.
  10. It's a wonderful cruise, Buzz. We did it in 2019 and really enjoyed it. I celebrated my birthday in Hilo and did the helicopter trip over the volcanoes which was great.
  11. If that's the case I'll have the photos so can upload them.
  12. I'm going to go by the written info in the Health Protocols on the Princess website. However I will take photos of our RATs just in case. If they want it uploaded I can do it on the spot at the terminal.
  13. Usually it's about 18 months prior to the first new itinerary but they released the mid-2024 itineraries last December, more than two years prior. They might do the same for the 24/25 season but who knows when.
  14. I imagine Princess has special permission to bring Coral to one fairly isolated island. They are not going to any of the mainland PNG ports. And if that port stop gets cancelled we'll just get another lovely sea day.
  15. Mine is pretty obvious. I'm a duel citizen of Australia (so Oz) and NZ (so Kiwi) and my initials are JJ.
  16. Yes, suites might be different to the normal tiny Princess bathrooms. That was one thing I loved about Celebrity bathrooms - there were a couple of small drawers plus a full height narrow cupboard with shelves, split into two sections with a glass door on the top half and a wooden door on the lower half.
  17. We haven't had anything roll off in the past but I've always been careful to place bigger items next to the shelf bar so they block smaller items from sliding under the bar. However it would be much easier the have various things grouped then just lift the whole group basket down to use them.
  18. Irene, would you please measure the width and length of the small bathroom shelves. After seeing a tip on FB I think I might take some small baskets or containers to put toileties in for easy access without the risk of them rolling all over the bathroom if things get a bit rough. Thanks
  19. Given NSW was probably averaging around 7500 cases or more a day at the time that cruise started, and given that pre-cruise RATs don't have to be supervised, it would be a miracle if Covid didn't make an appearance onboard. The governments don't seem to care about Covid any more and that also seems to be the case with the media.
  20. Oh dear, that's not good, Chili. I hope they have very mild cases and get well quickly.
  21. This one? Roll calls have their own special section on Cruise Critic.
  22. Thanks for all your kind wishes about Niki. We are bringing him home today and hope to have a few last days with him before we say goodbye. His kidney functions are unlikely to improve so the best we can do for him is give him a peaceful end.
