  1. We did that in 2019. It was great fun.
  2. Usually the waiters do but sometimes they forget when taking the order but then mention it when serving the drink.
  3. By the way "Outbid" doesn't necessarily mean you really have been out-bid. I got the Outbid email for our upcoming Coral world cruise. I just ignored it as we weren't prepared to raise our bid. Four days later I got the new cabin.
  4. Marks and Spencer have really cool reversable belts - black one side, brown the other. Very useful for travel.
  5. Hmmmm! Two mentions of "cards" versus one of "medallion" and you decide that it's a medallion discussion. 🙄 Oh! Should we have mentioned those weird little slug things that Virgin uses? Are they classed as "cards" or "medallions". They open doors but don't seem to do much else.
  6. Make that two backpacks! The stuff I had earmarked for one backpack didn't fit!
  7. Our two main suitcases each have a super-lightweight collapsable laundry hamper, a very lightweight shoe hanger, and a ultra-lightweight day pack permanently in them. That way we never forget those things even when we just take one of the suitcases.
  8. Unfortunately not all ladies clothing has pockets. 🙁
  9. Yes, the fares are shown in AUD for me. It could be related to that although Princess' country-dependent programming is a bit hit and miss at times (I'm another ex-software developer from way back),
  10. It's showing for me on Chrome, on both my laptop and phone. I looked at Australian region cruises and Caribbean cruises so it's not region dependant.
  11. Shoes and my feet don't get on very well! Even shoes that are well broken in sometimes give me problems so I like to have plenty of choice, especially in evening sandals, so I can alternate what I'm wearing from day to day.
  12. They are about the size of an Apple Airtag so anything designed to hold Airtags will fit the medallions. You do get a free lanyard with them but some people prefer to get something they can clip on a belt loop or bag, or something they can wear on their wrist.
  13. I'll look out for it. You're not tempted to sneak in an extra trip to Capetown and have a cruise at the same time?
  14. 17 pairs per person? Maybe a bit excessive for a 7 day cruise. I'm up to 13 pairs for the world cruise but that includes reef shoes. I'm still debating whether to take my ankle boots but realistically the only time I'm likely to wear them would be on a dinner excursion in Capetown as it could be cool there. I might just make do with my black Skechers - who cares what my feet look like!
  15. And that is exactly why I want a table for two for breakfast! I am not civilized until I've had a pot of strong tea. Even Rolf knows not to ask me anything serious before I've had some food and my tea!
  16. I'm hoping we'll get away with 2 medium-large spinners, two medium spinners, 2 overnight bags, and two cartons for check-in. We're going to drop these down to the terminal fairly early, then take the car back home and finish a few chores. So we'll just have two carry-ons and a backpack to take with us when we check-in. Yes, it's really useful when the port is only 15 minutes away.
  17. Do you know there are some cabins available for the Sydney to Capetown segment of the world cruise? It's mostly sea days, just Fremantle and Mauritius as port stops. About $110pp per night for a balcony cabin. $136pp per night for a mini-suite.
  18. Thank you. I love wearing them, they feel glamorous but are so light and comfortable.
  19. Yes, I've heard that too. I'm not sure if it's true though. The chair was usually placed near the window so not easy to trip over.
  20. I don't have the figure to wear cocktail dresses these days. 😪 Thank goodness for Camilla kaftans, they hide all my wobbly bits! 🤣
