  1. I'm a fan of Zenith people, although I will never be one.  If someone has spent that much time and money with Celebrity, they should get access to the Resort and Laminae.  I know there are restrictions, but I hope and pray Celebrity opens open the Resort to Zenith again.

  2. First, congratulations on your marriage.  What a great Honeymoon!
If you are in Aqua Class, you don't have to dine in Blu.  I'm not sure what you mean by a more "authentic" experience.  That might give me a better idea if Blu really misses the spot so bad.

I agree with the others that booking a AQ might be a better bet.

If you decide to keep your cabin, DH and I usually book suites and once we are on-board, book the Persian Garden pass.  It was never been that high of a price.

If you decide to gamble and wait until you get on-board to buy a pass, I would make the Spa the first stop, because the book up fast.

DATE OF CRUISE AND "REVOLUTION" COMMENTS

I love the new Retreat.  It isn’t very handicap friendly.  It’s hard to open the gate if you are in a scooter.

  4. If you are looking for the types of high-end wines from the Enomatic wine dispensers, they are no longer available.  I did enjoy getting a taste of Opus One or something similar that I would never be able to sample on my own.  It is disappointing that this treat is gone and most of what is left is 'everyday' types of wine.

What we have done for the last few cruises is to have a wine lovers' get together with others in our roll-call and each bring their special wine.  We have lucked out that we all have brought special bottles (Rubicon, Chateau Montelena, and a few extra ordinary small vineyards.)

  5. I am on a cruise in February (yes, way too long from now.)   It looks pretty full looking at the cabins available.  If Celebrity is restricting capacity, would they be bumping people from the cruise and how long before time have they notified people who were booked on these restricted cruises?

Unfortunately, the app won't work on either my tablet or phone.  Requires Android 7.0 or higher and both of mine are Android 6 based technology.  Oh well.....

Well, this gives you a reason to upgrade, if you want.

Only 4 work days to go but tonight was late with a client meeting which finished at 7.45 and the same tomorrow evening. Getting too old for these 13+ hour days but plenty time to recover on holiday

Wow.  You have earned your vacation.  But do you think you enjoy your vacation more after those grueling days?

  8. Once we started doing suites, we found it hard to go back.  The one thing I don’t like is the location of the Sky Suites on the S Class Ships (with the exception of Reflection). They are either under the cafeteria or the aft.

Our butlers have been magicians in knowing what we want before we know it.  The really suite experience starts with the Celebrity Suite, especially with the separate bedroom and the shore concierge.
FYI.  When we did the Royal Suite and Celebrity Suite, I drove a 10+ year old Ford.

  9. Thank you for all the info on this thread.  I was wondering what happened to the crew during drydock.

I don't understand Sky Suites positioning.  On the S Class (except Reflection) they are either under the cafeteria (with a large overhang above them) or the aft, there are no mid-ship.

When we booked our cruise, DH kept looking daily for an opened mid-ship Sky Suite besides deck 12.  He refused to believe me when I said it didn't exist.

Is it really that bad you need ear plugs?  we're booked in S1- 2152 Reflection next cruise, on the hump, under the start of the pool area (I think).  I've checked the Solstice link where cabin descriptions have mentioned 'very quiet' and 'seldom hear from above'.  Made a mistake maybe??

We have stayed on the Reflection hump multiple times.  We love it.  Not a mistake.

  11. Thank you everyone for the ideas.  Our cruise isn’t until Feb, but I will post about it’s success.

We did a cabin crawl where everyone ended up in our CS.  I was amazed at how many people attended and floored by how accommodating our butler was.

This time we are roughing it in a lowly SS.  😀
