Hi.  Saw this and wanted your thoughts on our wine crawl on the Eclipse in October.  We good with 10-12 in a cabin?  Or should we try for a different venue?

With the wine crawl, since it is basically drinking wine during a cabin crawl, we will be fine.  And we do end in a suite.

  2. We are going to be on Silhouette after it is Revolutionized.  There is a group of us (about 10 people) who will be bringing their favorite special occasion wines to share.  Is there anyplace to gather for this sort of event on the new configured ships?  I had thought about the Alcoves.  Has anyone done anything like this?

  3. The staff can make or break a cruise.  The vast majority give 100% if not more.  If they are enjoying their job, we will enjoy the cruise more.

I am in awe of their hard work and positive attitude.  The only time we ever complained about the staff was when one of the officers reprimanded a bartender (in the suite guests’ lounge) in front of us.  I’m not sure what she had done wrong, but you never reprimand staff in front of guests.

  4. No.  I had created the Roll Call topic a few days ago.  Since I didn’t see it in the rollcall, I thought I didn’t create it.  But I had, so I removed the topic hoping no one would see I made a mistake.

  5. Today I went to check for any cruises for the Summer of 2020.  Nothing showed except the Galapagos.  I checked multiple agencies besides the Celebrity site.  Could it be that all the ships for all the itineraries are sold out 20 months ahead of time?

  6. One cruise we had our 7 and 10 year olds with us.  The butler introduced himself, then we went to lunch.  When we came back, an Xbox was setup for the kids.

He offered to pick up the kids from the Fun Factory when we were trying to figure out our busy schedule one night.

I think our best butler was one we had in our SS.  The worst was in the RS.  He was not bad,  but he didn’t read our minds as well as the others.

  7. I have no idea what the status of the suites has to do with your grandchildren. When we took them on a cruise in the Royal Suite, everyone, from the captain on down, would stop us to tell us how truly precious our little angels were. But, that was because it was true!

  8. After sending an email to Captain’s Club, I received a call from one of the representatives and she fixed it.

I’m so glad, that after all that, a Captain’s Club representative was able to solve what their technical team members could not.

  9. Update to my saga. I called the Website assistance. After my explanation, they asked me my reservation number. First, what does that have to do with anything, second, I ca’t get into the site to tell you.

After a long wait, they came back and told me I gave them the wrong sailing date so I must have put in the wrong password. ARGH! I explain again, and they send me off to their help desk.

I finally get someone on line with their ‘Help Desk’ and explain my issue. They tell me I have the wrong group and route me back to, yes, the woman who just pushed me over to them.

  10. I HATE the site. I tried logging in with both my account name and my email address. Neither worked. So I did the ‘forgot my password’ link. I followed the link in the email to reset my password. When I put my email in, it stated that this account already exists.

How can a RESET PASSWORD page give an error that the account exists?

Next step, I called the website help desk, who told me to wait a couple of weeks and try again. I waited and tried, same issue.

So I gave up and tried creating a new account with another email address. Guess what! Same thing. Groundhog Day!

  11. I have tried all of the "cures" listed above. None of them work. If I try to reset my password, it tells me I already have an account and I should log in with a different e-mail. ??? I will have to call. Just want to know if they've fixed the glitch in my sailing history. They conveniently forgot to give me double points for sailing solo on my last cruises.

I had the same issue. I called and they told me they couldn’t help, the IT department are working on it and should be resolved in a couple of weeks. This was a month ago.

  12. We had our 6 and 8 year olds on both the Reflection and the Infinity. The Fun Factory is amazing. There are fewer kids, but they always found a new BFF on each cruise. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of some of the other more family friendly lines, but there is always enough to do. The other secret is that since there are fewer kids, the crew seem to real go out of their way to make the kids feel special.

  13. We have been in suites recently and gone are the towel animals. We had little ones with us, so I kinda was looking forward to this. It didn’t ruin my cruise but when our friends showed us the picture of their animals from one of ‘those’ other cruises, I was a little jealous. Are these gone as well?
