I completely agree with you about studying history. So for the newcomers on this Board, let's review the last 16 months of history since OC stopped sailing and the predictions/opinions made by a handful of naysayers: "Crystal is never returning " WRONG "No one is buying 2 old ships" WRONG "The new owners are doing nothing to help OC customers who lost money" WRONG "No cruise travel agencies will book passengers on NC" WRONG "Passengers on NC can't get trip insurance" WRONG "Few if any former OC officers, crew and staff will return" WRONG "New bookings on NC are sluggish, suggesting financial instability" TBD Everyone is entitled to their opinion and are free to post. But look at the 16- month prediction "history" of these naysayers. Not a very good track record imho.

Thanks Keith! This is very helpful because my wife and I will be sailing out of Venice on Sept 18. And don't let the naysayers on this Board get to you. They keep beating a dead horse with their fake news and theories because they are desperate for NC to fail. It's the only reason they continue to post.

Do you know anyone on this forum who would have the audacity and total lack of real world awareness to complain about getting free cruise credits because she's already booked 160 days each of the next 3 years on other lines? Some people in this world are happy if they go on one great vacation in their lifetimes. And just to be clear: I'm already booked on 2 future Crystal cruises and my TA is happily booking Crystal for lots of people.

I see where you're coming from, and I will admit that Crystal is trying to do the right thing for some former customers. But what about people like me who couldn't wait around for the cruise line to re-emerge with new owners and had to find other cruising alternatives on which to spend our massive fortunes. .

My TA, who is a well known leader in his/her industry, has told me (in the strictest confidence) that over the past few months not a single person has inquired about Crystal at his/her agency, least of all made a booking. Based on these irrefutable facts, I can only speculate that Crystal’s latest offer is less a goodwill gesture to former customers, and more a desperate lifeline to save sinking sales. Fool me once...shame on you. Try to fool me twice...shame on you again, only more so.

Look, this new Crystal offer only works for people who believe it's generous. For those of us who don't, it doesn't work. An avid cruiser like me is already booked well into 2038. If I spend 315 days a year on a world/universe cruise, I won't have time to take advantage of the promotion. I can't believe Crystal wouldn't consider that super wealthy people like me would be spending our huge stockpiles of cash elsewhere. And just to be clear, all of my cruising friends agree with me about everything.

Does anyone know where the Symphony will be Docking this fall in Venice? I need to make flight arrangements accordingly. Thanks!!
