If you like Lobster and the Lobster roll is on the menu you can get it as an appetizer without the roll.

That is certainly a bigger issue to is to, as well as the increased deposits and stricter NRD policies. Oh, and the removal of gratuities and OBC being included without a corresponding fare reduction.

These are the biggest issues that caused us to cancel an open passages. The nickel and diming doesn't help.

I don't do any of the above but since we book suites we get the beverage package included. Prior to the beverage packages we bought wine by the bottle at dinner, a few drinks during the day and an after dinner drink and coffee. Our on board spend was more than we would pay for the beverage package because we were on vacation and factored the cost into the total we were paying.

If you look on the website the list posted above is what you see if not searching for a specific cruise. If you do a mock booking the description of amenities does not include the 2 bottles of alcoholic or the unlimited specialty dining. Consistently inconsistent web site information.

Maybe LBH put down her glass of wine long enough to realize how much ill will this $2.40 upcharge was generating, especially in the Retreat.
I hope this new menu makes it to the other ships quickly.

Edge prices in Australia where they add the 20% gratuity into the price.
Ok, I didn't associate the post with the fact that the ship is in Australia. Thanks for clarifying.

So with all the complaints, the $19 wines are now $23. Talk about screwing us over.
I didn't associate the fact that the ship is in Australia with the higher prices.

And why should we care what he thinks? When will people who have done with Celebrity move on, soon I hope.
If you don't want to watch it, move on.

Zack the Traveling Man just had a you tube video on this. To say he was not happy about this and other nickel and diming is putting it mildly.

We were in a PH on Equinox in September, no lip balm and chocolate only the 1st night. We did get the truffles on evening chic nights. Our butler kept me supplied with ice for my foot and champagne and wine to take away the pain.🥰

People who can afford the PH, very often can because they've kept track of the "couple of bucks" for years.
This describe us.

I agree with all of this. I have personally been upcharged for glasses of Caymus in Luminae.
I don't expect them to comp an expensive wine or champagne in Luminae but $2 makes no sense especially when the wine was included in the PBP up until a few weeks ago.

I have to agree with beyond tacky. It's not the money - I just don't feel the love after spending over $40K on an upper suite and being nickel and dimed. I plan to speak to the shoreside concierge today about a future sailing and will inquire what the current policy will be on my sailing.
Please come back and let us know what is said. Like you, we paid over $30K for a PH on Beyond. When is you sailing?

@Georgia_Peaches My dentists ask for a medication list, not necessarily a medical history. There are certain meds, blood thinners and Bisphosphonates come to mind, that can have a big impact on dental work.

Just got off Beyond. We were charged the $2.40 for CherryPie and Decoy even
with the PDP. No chit to sign. The sommelier just politely informed us each time: all bars including Luminae.
Thanks. Did you have them on the retreat lounge and were you charged?
-
Unless I massed it, so far I haven't seen any posts from someone on board stating categorically that they were, or were not, charged an up-charge for wines above the PBP limit in the lounge or luminae, especially the $2 up-charge.
We are sailing in a PH on Beyond in December and a $2 charge is beyond tacky.

Unless it is for a massage, when I note I have lower back pain, I just reply none or check the no boxes. I might say I use Advil as needed. That's it. They have never insisted that I was less than forthcoming.

We opted not to pay the high Retreat prices for a Canada/New England cruise in 2025 and cancelled our open passages. We will take the December 2024 Beyond cruise but have no Celebrity plans after that.

Yes, there is a Retreat luggage drop off location right by the entrance to the Retreat. They used to have staff with a sign but haven't seen that for a while. There is a porter there and if you tell them you are in a suite they take your luggage to a scanner to the left of the Retreat entrance to the terminal. I don't know if this applies to sky suites.

With the potential cost involved to get tested it is wise to be proactive and take a couple of test kits with you so you can self test.

With the varied number of agents answering the phone, I would be surprised if the person the OP spoke with knew for a fact that it was not generated by Celebrity and sent through Everbridge.

Good thing you aren't running Celebriity what you are suggesting would run off even more loyal customers.

II bet they up the prices based on how popular they are and not the cost of making it. Celebrity has certainly fallen far. Sad, very sad.
I think you are right. Decoy, Conundrum, Cherry Tart and a few others are very popular and the price has risen above the PBP limit. I find it very cynical on Celebrity's part.

Celebrity dropped me totally since I send several emails expressing my disappointment in the changes they are making. Started with the vaping issue and now the $2 up charge on drinks. One more cruise and then we are 95% sure we are done with them. So yes, it is possible.
