Haven't cruised Celebrity in many years.  I seem to remember that you could not go into the corridor your cabin was in to leave your luggage until they announced cabins were ready.  So go directly to leave your carry on luggage in cabin even though it may not be ready?

It's changed. I was able to do it on the Edge in 2020 before everything shut down. You can drop off your carry-on and get your seapass, but you are asked to then leave until they open completely.

Sailing on a four night Reflection cruise in May 2024.  Have several questions:

    1. Which night is the formal night? Is there anywhere the four night main dining menus are posted?

    2. Suggestions for Marriott properties near Everglades cruise port for pre-cruise stay?

    3.  Suggestions for restaurants in the. cruise port area (casual, waterfront)?

    4.  Can someone describe the embarkation process (particularly time required to stand in lines - bad knees)?

    5.  Where is best key lime pie in Key West?

    6.  Suggestions for Key West tours - any boating, dolphin watch?

Thanks for your time to address questions!

    5. I much prefer the Key Lime Pie Company for Key Lime Pie.

Just a note to those who say "if you don't want to sail with kids just don't cruise during school holidays", some of us teach the little.....darlings.....and therefore must take our vacations when they take theirs.

And I like a break from shrieking littles from time to time. 😉

AMEN!!!! Fellow teacher here - of the special-education variety!

I also think they keep the kitchen capability to service a full restaurant in mind.  We were caught in that one cruise when Murano was over booked (opened doors at 5:30 to accomodate walk ins/packages).  Our 6pm reservation had only 2 tables available, service was terrible and rushed, and food wasn't as well prepared as in the past.

    Yeah, That too.

When we did go to the ‘sold out’ Eden there were at least 7 empty tables and we were there for 1 1/2 hrs.

And were there tons of staff just standing around twiddling their thumbs?

I suspect that they leave tables empty so that each table gets the service they'd expect. If they filled all the tables, there would be complaints about noise AND about lack of attention from servers.

There’s no way under any normal circumstance I could swing a suite and have never had an issue with anything you mention.  You’ll get the vibe on here that everyone does but I don’t think that’s the case.  No issues with spa, restaurants, etc.  did my Alaskan cruise I can currently book any of things you mention on my cruise planner.

This. I guess if I wanted to travel only every 5 years I might be able to do a suite - but being a solo traveler it would be A LOT. I did splurge on Aqua Class last summer and am again this summer (I actually was going to downgrade to a solo cabin, but my sailing is now sold out other than suites) - but in Feb 2026 I'm back to a solo IV on the Beyond.

The only restaurant you can't go to as a non-suite guest is Luminae (and as a non-Aqua guest you can't go to Blu). And there's the Retreat Lounge and sundeck that are only for suites, but there is plenty of deck space and other space for everyone.

As far as spa, I don't really do the treatments (I hate the hard sell for products or other services, and I never have luck with them paying attention to NO SALES PLEASE written on my intake form) - I'll do the area that comes with Aqua occasionally. I've seen it offered as a length of cruise pass under spa on the planner, so I gather from that there are spaces for those other than Aqua guests.

"There was an R-rated game show one evening on the ship and it was truly vulgar. We are not prudes and enjoy a good laugh but we were surprised that Celebrity actually allowed this. A far cry from the Love and Marriage show which is pretty tame. The adult comedy show was kind of what we expected but, again, more over the top than other adult comedy sh.. ."

To me "truly vulgar" would be X-rated and not R-rated.

  8. 12am for the departure port. So if it's a FL-based then midnight Eastern. If in Alaska, midnight their time. If in Europe, midnight their time.

I have no issues using an app so I've never tried it any other way.

We just barely went on Disney last month for the first time

Just curious about how you "barely went on" a cruise. Did you almost not make it? Or was it a 3-night? I've just never heard that phrase in relation to a cruise.

Thanks!  We're going to be on the Reflection soon, so good to hear that you enjoyed most of it.  Maybe I'll throw a couple of rolls of premium TP in my suitcase to be on the safe side.

Please don't. Ship septic systems are not capable of handling the plush tissue most people use at home. You're just going to cause blockages and issues for many more people than just you.

That is why I make my posts public.  So people aren’t allowed to , or prevented from cheating.

People that make posts on how smart they are by how they cheat the system aren’t very smart if that is what they do.

I don’t cheat the system so I don’t care.   People that cheat raises the price for those that don’t.   That is why I make the way to cheat public.  That way Celebrity can do something to eliminate it .   Hope it makes sense

I worked in a casino as a dealer, supervisor, and pit boss.   We were taught how to cheat.  Not to cheat the players but how to prevent cheating by the players, and workers.

    Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I’m confused. You flat out said “If you do, why do they need one? Have an occasional mocktail.” If that isn’t advocating for people to not get their kids packages and use their alcoholic package to get the kids drinks, what was your intent?

    2) You could pack your long pants in your carry on.

    4) You could wear your long pants the next morning.

And sometimes planning 2 is the right play if you accidentally pack your intended leaving the cruise outfit in your luggage. Planning for the final night's outfit to go into carry-on would prevent the pajama-clad "I forgot to leave something out" debarkation of shame.

I think my issue with summit was more to do with it being a partial charter, I did like the aesthetics better here as it was updated. But yeah I felt like regular passengers were an after thought because it was all about the chartered passengers who were completely wasted and rude

Yeah, I imagine that would make a difference. No partial charters on mine.

I agree with this, I am 43 this year and really enjoy E class. The millennium ones I've done and probably won't do again, so its going to depend on the ship if people come back I think, if I had done M class first I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much (Beyond was my first cruise). Next 3 cruises I have with Celebrity are all E class - I may at some point try S but would depend on itinerary.

I think the yo-yoing to try and appease people is a huge problem. Some of the things I get business wise but others it's a problem and bad planning, they loose customers and then back track and by that point its too late. They need someone doing better business research before making changes. But not everyone is going to be happy, specific people want the older ships while others want newer ones.

52 here and I love the E-Class. I did love the Summit...though a lot of that was being in Aqua (and Blu). My next cruise is Beyond this summer. I've currently got Feb 2026 on Silhouette, but I may well change that to either Beyond or Apex.
