You can keep track of app availability and features on this (It is updated regularly - there's also a whole thread on the app)
That's pretty cool.
Our last cruise, the officers did their rounds in the suite lounge like they do. The IT lead came through. He seemed quite pleased that someone actually wanted to talk shop with him instead of just typical cordial exchanges.

I don't know about international travel, but I have been hearing that once you have the second dose and travel in the US, you don't need to quarantine.
You don't need to quarantine after potential exposure, but the CDC chose to ignore vaccinations in setting up their international airline testing protocol

Even in the most strict of restrictions, I don't think they could control who's in your cabin with you.

It really depends. Itinerary (try to go somewhere in the Caribbean we haven't been to or haven't been to in a while, also try to avoid places we were just at on the last cruise), ship (not too big, not too small - though the smallest in the fleet keeps getting bigger), and of course price.

And just about everything "reported" about the UK variant has been a bunch of bunk.

It takes a couple of minutes of close contact to get the virus.
It takes at least 15 minutes.

Suites are definitely like crack. Very addicting. Fortunately I've never been addicted to crack though.

Do it. Especially for a special occasion.

What gets bypassed for the emergency authorization is a more broad range of trials like specific age groups or health scenarios (pregnancy). Those trials will continue in order to get the full approval.

Past the 12th in which RC said FCCs would be issued by.
No refund on my taxes/fees either.

My wife and I have it already. I got it through volunteering last summer for the Pfizer phase 2 study. I was called 2 weeks ago and advised I had received the vaccine and not the placebo. So I have been vaccinated since Sept. 2020. My wife just got her 2nd shot.
Are you still involved with the trial, as in checking antibody levels for length of efficacy and stuff like that?

I don’t want to come across as some tree-hugging, lefty heretic but maybe the US could help others who are less fortunate.
I don't disagree. Just there hasn't been any public discussion of what to do if there is a surplus

But you paid for it yes? So approve it and sell to another country at discount and get some of the money back at least?
I honestly have no idea what the plan is in that regard. The news focus has been on getting the vaccine, not what happens to any large scale leftovers. -

I'd imagine that cruises that don't require vaccinations or masks would be as popular as flights that don't require people to go through security.
So, extremely popular.

It won't be approved in the USA because it won't have to be. USA already has orders/options for 1 billion doses among the 5 main western vaccines.

Then cruising is finished then? May as well close. Royal cannot survive on 6 months a year business or without it's American customers.
I assume that's Singapore gov't rules, not RC rules.

In Singapore Royal is saying if you've had Rona in the past 180 days no cruise for you. That may be a government thing though.
"Those who have had COVID-19 within the past 180 days, or who have a positive COVID-19 Serology certificate, will be unable to take a SARS-CoV-2 test and therefore, are unable to sail at this time."
Based on that logic, if you have the vaccine you shouldn't be allowed to sail either. -

Correct. They are experimental gene therapy.
Um, no. These vaccines are not gene therapy.

No price changes to the cruise I have booked.

Has anyone gotten FCCs for March cruises?
Today is the day RC said they'd be sent by. -
There's evidence antibodies last upwards of 12 months, but the CDC is going very, very, very conservative.

Yet you'd still need a negative test to get on a ship or to fly into the USA.

"We are exploring all options regarding vaccinations for guests and crew and it is our intention that all crew members be vaccinated before boarding our vessels to begin their duties, subject to availability of the vaccine,"
And there lies the disclaimer for both crew and children.
That about sums it up. "We really wish and hope people would get vaccinated, but we know we can't require it"
What's the vaccine situation in non-western countries? Is it being given away free there, too?

A certain blog site about all thing RC noted that RC hasn't yet given up on Alaskan cruises (including trying to get the PVSA waived) and Canada has left the door open to changing its mandate as well.

Still no FCCs yet for my March cruise, which RC said would come by Feb 12.
