I’m a solo cruiser. I’m paying double cruise fare. Would I get away with carrying on 2 bottles of wine?

Thank you for sharing nasa 1974. My first solo was June ‘23 on CCL Venezia. Husbands sister supposed to come with me but got sick 2 days before. After decades of cruising with friends and family and my Jim it was all I could do physically and emotionally to board that ship. But I did it just as I’m sure many have before me. No —cruises will never be the same but we are lucky to be able to do something we love and the past cruises will be special memories to pack and take with us. Very excited for this new ship and again, thankful for all your help and support! 👏👍

Thanks to EVERYONE for all the information and tips! I’ve been on approx 45 cruises but I’m as excited about this one as I was about my first one! Very much appreciate you all taking the time to help me. My husband/fellow cruise addict passed and so I’m a bit intimidated. I used to pick the ship and the date and he planned and took care of everything so that in addition to a “new” cruise line has me a bit nervous so thanks for reassuring me. I’m quite sure I will get my $ worth from the drink package! Merci, happy cruising and cheers! 🍻🥂

Love GSL! I’m in Northville and yes, that’s one reason I picked mid September. It won’t be too cold nor too hot and being in the middle of Adirondack Park I have a view of fall colors every year. So I won’t miss/need that.

Exit 163! Right onto good old route 17! Parents and brother have summer homes at the shore (exit 98 lol) so I travel the GSP very often!

Yes that’s what I’m looking for! I’m not much into shows. I do like to be where the “action is” just because I am an avid people watcher lol. I enjoy cocktails, I enjoy BEING at sea! I enjoy dressing up! I’m most interested in learning about meals-breakfast and lunch buffet? Dinner in dining room? Is it assigned or any time dining. I did sign up for “plus.” I’m not interested in pay extra specialty dining…does Princess offer excursions to the ports of call?

As you can see if you look at my sig I’m a CCL cruiser. Top notch diamond! Tough stuff lol! 🤗 I live in NE NJ and being widowed now I sail solo and sail exclusively from this area. Have “friends on that other site” who are doing a live on enchanted. So I booked her for a 7 day Canada/NE in September. The plus….anyone have any tips/advice for me? TIA!

Me. Me. Me. And I’ve been on same ship twice (Venezia) since June. Going in March and may and food is picked. Steakhouse day one in March. Know what I’m having. Held off may, 2025 but today booked enchanted princess! Haven’t been on a Princess cruise in 90 years! AHHHHHH. I just opened a whole new can of worms. HELP! 🤯😳😫

Years and years ago I remember they had little dishes of goldfish, etc at the bar. The following cruise they didn’t and I remember asking about this and the bar tender said they discontinued because the snacks got stale sitting out. 🤷‍♀️

I’d like a camera at the activities such as deck parties, white parties, etc. sometimes they’re late and I’m too tired to go or whatever, but if they had a camera I could watch festivities in my cabin on tv/web cam. I think years ago they did this and put on tv the next day (?)

I was down the hall-deck 1 aft. My steward was great! Granted-I clean my room and make my bed lol but he was very friendly, left me paper Fun times as requested and always answered questions or just chatted. Edi-not to be confused with Jamman’s edY lol (see his B2B review)

Great review. I’ve been on Venezia twice and have 3 more booked. I live 20 minutes from the port of Manhattan and am now a “solo cruiser” so I sail exclusively from here. Thanks for a very informative and thorough review. I don’t pay much attention to CD’s but Marq was fantastic!

Caught up for the day! I’m loving that ship. Just looks so BIG! I have to go back to your Venezia review. I remember you talking about Edy. I had Edi with an I. and he was great. Of course I’m like Sid and clean my cabin and make my bed but I enjoyed talking to him throughout the day. Oh I had to laugh. I am guilty of 3 (+!} “one mores” myself! 🍺🍸🥃🍷🍹🤗

There are always a few “bad apples” no matter what age! I think for kids and teens it’s kind of the excitement of being on this beautiful ship, having freedom to do what they want, eat what they want, etc. they don’t mean to be troublesome. Two of the lessons I’d like to tell kids is: when the elevator door opens, wait until people get off before you barge on. And DON’T RUN! How many times I’ve carried a plate of food, a cup of coffee or a drink I paid $16 for and don’t want a drop spilled and wasted lol and have had to move to the side of the walkway so as not to be tackled! Be the kid or teen someone recalls being courteous or kind when they talk about their cruise. Then we’ll both have a good memory of a small passing moment.

Patti and Jamman, just as an “aside”, the signs from Kevin were beautiful. My dad—day after Christmas. 🥲 So I had another loved one who watched over me as I boarded and cruised Venezia. There will always be signs to put a smile in your heart! 🌟🤩 And I have to tell you after seeing only a few of Pattis pictures: that’s a BIG SHIP!!! 🥹😳😲

Ahhh…. Wish I had waited a week and hitched a ride with you and gone on this cruise but then again never heard of buc ees and i might still be in there! This is icing on the cake after the other GREAT reviews. LOVE that diamond/platinum lounge. A lot different from the one in Manhattan!
