Ok I went back in my cc statements and figured it out. One more question: I have cruises booked on CCL 3/25-4/5 and 5/6-5/17 and Princess 9/14 Should I purchase separately or all together? I’ve heard there’s an “annual” plan. I also have 5/25/25 but that’s over a year out. I’m looking at insure my trip.com. TIA.

No because I booked 4. No idea when each was! And 2 that I’m looking for insurance for are paid up so invoice just says it’s paid in full. But thank you both for your replies.

I have no idea how to figure out if I should get $50,000, $100,000 etc medical coverage. Can anyone give me some advice? It also asks what date you booked cruise (first payment date) I have no clue! Does this really matter? TIA

Thank you both! I understand Now. One more question (I’m sure that’s not going to prove true!) on CCL every morning they’d post the MDR dinner menu for that night on the app. Does Princess do this? So can determine what days to go to alternative restaurants? And is the dinner buffet usually the same as MDR offerings? (That’s 2 questions. I warned you!) TIA

Following! I don’t understand the 2 free casual meals. (I have plus package) a lot of people have recommended Gigi’s. I googled what are the free places to eat-Gigi’s was listed as extra cost. (?)

Lol years and years and years ago we put a small box of wine in checked luggage. They found it. I got the naughty letter in my suitcase. Few days later we did a galley tour. My box of wine was sitting right on a shelf. Dh had to put his hands over my mouth as I wanted to shout THATS MY WINE. And tie my hands behind my back to not claim it. End of smuggling days! 🥴🤯

I remember back in the day they’d take the cans out of our soda cartons to make sure it WAS soda and not beer! Haven’t had that in a long time.

Jimbo, I just read this start to finish. Amazing cruise and gorgeous pictures. I’m a sunset snob and yours sure are perfect! Glad I found this because like you, I’m a CCL cruiser (see my sig) and just booked Enchanted Princess out of Red Hook. That’s out of my comfort zone too. I’m used to CCL. I’ve never heard of wine check in table. I cruise on CCL out of Manhattan. They just put my carry on thru the X-ray machine.

My Moms dad was from Quebec. They had a camp there where I spent summers growing up and I took French in school grades 7-12! So I’m basically fluent in both English and French. We have been to SJ many times and I know it’s bilingual also. French is a bit harder with feminine and masculine nouns but if we ever cruise together I’d be happy to tutor you! 🤗

Thank you for sharing nasa 1974. My first solo was June ‘23 on CCL Venezia. Husbands sister supposed to come with me but got sick 2 days before. After decades of cruising with friends and family and my Jim it was all I could do physically and emotionally to board that ship. But I did it just as I’m sure many have before me. No —cruises will never be the same but we are lucky to be able to do something we love and the past cruises will be special memories to pack and take with us. Very excited for this new ship and again, thankful for all your help and support! 👏👍

Thanks to EVERYONE for all the information and tips! I’ve been on approx 45 cruises but I’m as excited about this one as I was about my first one! Very much appreciate you all taking the time to help me. My husband/fellow cruise addict passed and so I’m a bit intimidated. I used to pick the ship and the date and he planned and took care of everything so that in addition to a “new” cruise line has me a bit nervous so thanks for reassuring me. I’m quite sure I will get my $ worth from the drink package! Merci, happy cruising and cheers! 🍻🥂

Love GSL! I’m in Northville and yes, that’s one reason I picked mid September. It won’t be too cold nor too hot and being in the middle of Adirondack Park I have a view of fall colors every year. So I won’t miss/need that.

Exit 163! Right onto good old route 17! Parents and brother have summer homes at the shore (exit 98 lol) so I travel the GSP very often!
