  1. Always booked for changeover day not just because it was usually on offer but the ship is very busy with all the coming and going and its a nice atmosphere. 😊

  3. Have no answers for why, but the ship will not leave without passengers even if the flight is delayed and to be honest it always seems that the Manchester flights hold up departure timesπŸ™„
  4. Think the thrusters have always been an issue on this ship, even prior to Marella buying her, we had a problem in the Adriatic when we had to have three tugs to dock etc. πŸ™„

  7. Must be reassuring to the 800 plus cruisers looking forward to a Caribbean holiday and particularly the one's that haven't been informed. Sorry RR know you are only trying to help them but be be honest they should have been informed ASAP.

  10. Sorry for you but it's years not weeks they've had problems with D2, 2019 they had thruster issues and SCRUBBER problems. Feel for anyone booked on this.

Hi Shekobeach Really feel for you must be so frustrating, we have only ever cruised with Marella and with the exception of D2 have always been happy, well over fifty cruises, our only recommendation is go for cash refunded if offered. Don't think anything anyone says will help with your disappointment at the moment but hopefully all will work out for you. 🀞
  12. This is proving not to be a good ship, we still have outstanding vouchers from our last cruise for major issues. Would recommend that anyone takes a cash settlement, if offered, rather than a voucher.
  13. Sorry but that reply sounds reasonable to me. We are really missing our cruises but would never book hoping things would change in the future. Fully understand why cruisers are booking. Probably speaking out when I shouldn't πŸ™„
  14. Hi and welcome, strongly recommend that as it's your first cruise you go with the ship's tours until you get a feel for the cruise life. Remember if you are late back to the ship, for any reason, on an excursion other than a ship one they will sail without you. They do have AM & PM excursions. Also they allow you to cancel so long as you give them a day's notice with a full refund. Probably as you are going for two weeks you could try one on change over day as you have a lot more time. Enjoy, you will have a great time. 😎
  15. Exchange rate not good onboard and you may wish to reward your cabin steward, small amount for coffee etc on your excursions and its mostly, as said, US. Have a great cruise 😎

Well it's looking like you'll need another caseπŸ™„ don't worry we have all learnt over many cruises what we should have taken, but that's all part of the fun, but you can always purchase items onboard if you've forgotten anything . Every one has different ideas on any holiday, we would never wash or iron on a cruise as the staff will do it for you but other cruisers do. Bottom line just enjoy your first cruise its one you will always remember. 😎

  18. Hi Janros and welcome just the normal thing really, extention lead, phone charger, clips for sun beds the only non normal item I can think about is a torch particularly if you are in an inside cabin, ships do have power cuts occasionally πŸ™„. Other cruisers may have other info. Enjoy😎

Hi Mike Yes we have had a successful claim but Tui turned us down many times and we had the go through different avenues, which I can look up for you but it will take some time as it was a few years ago, don't go with someone you have to pay for, I think it cost us about Β£20. The basic time is when the cabin door is opened on your return flight not touch down which they tried on with us. It did take us a long time to sort out but we'll worth it in the end. You do have to receive a refusal from your supplier before claiming. Don't remember how I filled the forms in but I will sort out contacts if no one has more recent info. Just let me know and don't give up. πŸ‘Œ

Just loved the Broadway shows, best for us was Thriller on Celebration, many years ago, always a definite go to after dinner but things do move on we didn't particularly enjoy the new generation of entertainment but can understand why they have a need for change. By the way Howmuch we are oldies and always had upgrades on accommodation, drinks and flights that's not just a new generation thing. 😊
