I have received an on board questionnaire from P&O for my upcoming cruise. I have downloaded the form with no problem but it will not let me edit it to put anything in the boxes as requested.

What am I doing wrong. There must be a simple solution

    Brian

You don't need to download the form just open with pdf then you can fill in then send back by email to Accessibility.

Does become a bit of a nuisance if you have a disability like myself and have to fill the same form in everytime you book a cruise.

In my case a Leg Amputated in 2019, i asked the Doc if it would grow back but he said very little chance. :-)

The skylift capacity is 35 people per car and 2 cars operate, one going as one is going down. Capacity is 350 people per hour each way. When we were there last year there was a large ship tendering to Loen.

I wonder if taking a P&O excursion guarantees up and down timed slots?

Can't honestly see P&O or anybody else being able to book timed slots, can you imagine the trouble that would cause with people queuing for the next car then being told sorry we're going in front of you, there would be a riot especially at top if weather was bad.

Blimey. Apparently is an 80 minute walk each way. Could be an option for the fit. Not much else to do in Olden 😂

Are you allowed to say Olden hasn't much in it on here i made a comment on another P&O forum that it must have been built up since i was there in 2012 and as you said nothing in it and i got crucified for having the cheek for saying something different from the flock.

Did answer the question where all the arrogant posters went after the official P&O Forum from years ago shut down. 🙂

P.S Another money saving tip for everyone, Sail to view Pulpit Rock from Stavanger, Get your Guide £56 P&O £95. Minor differences but not worth paying the extra for.

Who is your phone provider? I ask because some still offer free European data, and others may charge a nominal fee. For us, with Sky, it is £2 for 24 hours.

Thanks for that i'm with Sky as well i'll look into that would be perfect as not one of these people who has there phone glued to there hand on holiday making the excuse 'in case there is a emergency at home'. 🙂

  5. Does anyone know any free wi-fi spots in Olden as looking to go on the Leon Skylift but weather can be different at top compared to ground level though there is online Webcam at top.

Don't need to book trip with P&O and hope for the best as it is only 10mins away so could get local bus if weather going to be good but want to check Webcam first.

    Thank You.

  6. I'm starting to think that P&O are like what i learned years ago about the DWP, it depends who reads your form what kind of answer you get.

Going on Britannia in June No Problem with form, going on Ventura in Oct No Problem with form but going on Iona in April send LifeTriedtoBreakMe..thumb.webp.b5dcecfb66808aa607fc4987de9c1555.webp back with highlighted questions they want clarified.

So checked my Britannia and Ventura forms exact same answers to questions but for some reason Iona isn't correct.

    😔😔😔

Thanks for that i have 2 Zoom Lenses and i have a bendy tripod with a sucker on the end of it so if i can find a flat surface i can video from there as i can turn the viewfinder round to see what i'm videoing then chop it to pieces later.

P.S Hope you enjoyed Lisbon went there years ago got about 200 yds from terminal and the rain came down very hard. 😞

  8. I will be travelling on the Iona next month and was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is anywhere on any of the decks facing forward with out that six foot plastic getting in the way.

The last time i visited the Fjords was on the Azura before they started to erect those plastic safety barriers and took a couple of days to find out there was a walkway that went all the way round if you walked between the windbreakers.

    Thanks.

The boat trip along to pulpit rock will probably still run. Buy it locally and dave a few Bob.

Looked at that after i came back the last time as the company  that does the P&O trip is just the other side of bay but this year P&O is actually a few pounds cheaper and  the company only does a 3pm sailing that day.

We did a cruise over the week of the Diamond Jubilee.  Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Copenhagen visit was on June 5th a Danish national holiday, the day after we stopped in Helsingbord.  6th June is Swedish national holiday!

That's more than just bad luck, are you sure nobody has a Voodoo Doll of you and was sticking pins in it.? 😀

Isn't the British traditional idea of a sail away party not much more than drinking a glass of champagne and waving to people as you leave!

(With a brass band playing if there's the budget for one?)

You forgot the silly little flags. 😄

We went to Norway on Iona 21st May last year and loved it. Weather was mixed, we had heavy rain in Olden and sunshine & blue sky in Haugesund. We couldn’t dock at Stavanger due to weather issues.

Haugesund was our least favourite port but it was a national holiday so most places were closed which didn’t help.
We enjoyed it so much that we are going back to Norway on Britannia at the end of May ‘24

I was in Olden years ago in May and it rained when i was there also, the only reason i remember when i was getting off a Security Lady said to me i would be better with a jacket as it was spitting of rain.

I replied doesn't bother me i'm from Scotland where it rains 364 days a year and snows the other one. 😁

Was funny to see everyone with there Nylon Waterproofs on with the hoods up and me with a t-shirt on when it was only spitting.

  13. I booked this cruise today and as the last time i visited Stavanger it was a Public Holiday and most places were shut so looked up Public Holidays for this year and May 1st is one in Norway.

Guess what date Iona is visiting Stavanger? 😞

Either that or they've heard i'm returning. 😞😞😞

Vamps said .."I know I can pay my drinks balance off in cash "  Which is what you did .

She also asks . . "can you pay for upcoming cruises in cash whilst on board? "

ie .. take a few grand onboard and pay for the upcoming cruises which looking at

the link I put in my last post suggests not .

As other posters have put, a card of some sort seems the more sensible option even

if it were possible to pay in cash .

Had you paid for your next cruise in cash whilst onboard and once back home you find

the cruise is being cancelled . Would P&O  pay you back in cash ? Doubt it .

The simple answer to that would be pay the deposit with your cash account then pay the balance with a debit card or credit card when getting home.

can you pay for upcoming cruises in cash whilst on board?

I paid by cash a few years ago and didn't use credit card but you have to leave money behind Customer Services desk at start of cruise and the amount you spend each day is taken off so if you spend a lot you can always top it up.

  16. The quizzes on P&O always made me laugh so many people 'desperate' to win the piece of tat that was First Prize.

Remember one which was meant o be a bit of fun where the correct answer was the most common answer and one of the questions was 'Which outfit would you hire for your Mother-in-Law to wear at Halloween.?

Don't think i need to print the answer anybody with two brain cells will know the answer but the people that guessed correct were standing up chearing like they had just won something.😌

I never understand why anyone is interested in who the Captain is.  As long as they know what they are doing, and I presume they all do, what difference do they make?

Exactly what i have thought so many people asking this question over the years. I got 'crucified' on another P&O Forum for saying Olden has must have changed a lot since i was there in 2012 when the Captain Announced 'What you See is What you Get' there was that little in the place.

Sounds like a sensible man. Southern prices come as a bit of a shock sometimes.

My mum literally chocked at the price of a cup of tea in Norway and she couldn’t even drink it as it was Earl Grey and not her usual black tea. She took a picture of the bill as she said no one would believe her.

Lucky she didn't have Lunch when ashore the prices would have given a heart attack. Prices of everything in Norway are a lot higher than here in the UK but there average wage and standards of living are lot highers than ours so not expensive to those staying there.

Something anyone planing to visit Norway for first time should note.

Beautiful Country, Lovely People but if you don't know about prices before you go can be a shock.

  19. Hi folks i am travelling on the trip above and though not a wheelchair user i am limited in the amount of walking i can do and have looked at the on shore trips available but most without a lot of walking are those that you spend hours sitting on a coach watching the scenery go by which i don't want to do.

Does anyone have any personal experiences of trips where there is limited walking or having to sit on a coach for hours booked through P&O or privately.?

Thank You for your help, any info appreciated.
