  1. Rainy morning in the Kawarthas so we won't be using the new deck furniture for today's coffee We head back to Minnesota tomorrow for a few weeks. Visiting the SIL in Bessemer in Michigan's UP on the way.
  2. Here is our itinerary after Rotterdam - April 20 sea day April 21 Oslo April 22 Copenhagen April23 sea day April 24 Amsterdam
  3. Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox are staples of Minnesota folklore!
  4. We also just got the notification. We booked the 21 day TA/Norse Legends originally and it now looks like the "Norse" part is just Oslo and Copenhagen. We hadn't booked air or excursions yet so I will need to do some research before deciding what to to.
  5. Happy Father's Day! Here is my Dad fishing a long time ago, before I was born I am sure. He is on the same lake (Deer Bay, aka Lower Buckhorn) as where we have our cottage. Since we are at the lake now, I think I'll go out fishing too!
  6. We stopped in Manzanilla during a 2017 Panama Canal transit - Lovely gardens at this place -
  7. Greetings All! We are back at the "cottage"! We arrived on the 10th and our eldest son and DIL arrived from LA for a visit on the 12th. They left yesterday for Italy (DIL born and raised there) for vacation. They could get better flights by going through Toronto which allowed then to spend some time with us in the Kawarthas. The weather cooperated for their visit but we drove through a torrential downpour on the way back to Pearson Airport. It was almost zero visibility for a few miles! Our garden is doing OK for having been neglected for the last couple of years due to covid. The Canada gardens are pretty much full sun while our Saint Paul, MN gardens are very shady. So gardening in both places is quite different. This peony originally was growing in my grandmother's yard in Beaver Falls, PA. It has been divided and moved several times; the original plant would be over 100 years old. I didn't manage to get the picture until after some rain hit, so they are a bit droopy - Lupines and Blue False Indigo - Both are growing fantastically but they are too similar in color and flower form to be this close together (IMO). So I'll move one this fall. Probably the indigo since I have not had the best luck with lupines and I don't want to take chances with this one! Sedum and geraniums - And this guy was hanging out by the dock the other day -
  8. We have never cruised to Taipei but I have been there a couple of times for work - Taipei 101 Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Weekend Flower Market
  9. We were in Roseau in March of this year. It was a replacement port for Fort-de-France which was closed due to Covid. We had a tour scheduled but there were problems with the transportation - one of the open air trucks (a Unimog) broke down and never arrived to pick us up at the pier. We had the option of waiting for a regular van, going on the later version of the tour, or cancelling. Since we were already hot from standing around waiting in the sun, we opted for the cancellation. The port was closed to independent touring so we only saw Roseau from the ship and the small shopping area by the pier. I did find a nice shirt!
  10. Yes! I think if you double click the picture (before submitting the post) you will get to a pop up where you can change the size. I recommend clicking the maintain aspect ratio button prior to resizing.
  11. We stopped in Kona once in 2017. Here is the Oosterdam at "anchor" while tendering and a view from the ship - Captain Cook Monument and Pele (the non-soccer one!) -
