  1. We just booked business class for next August.  One way flight was much less than half price, had we booked directly with the airlines.  Worth it to note that we booked the first day flights became available.  A few days later, the price had already gone up (still cheaper than the airlines however).  DEFINITELY cheaper through EZAir.

No not everyone agrees with that statement. Everytime we go the venue is full.

You are absolutely right!  Every time we walk by it is PACKED.  And it baffles us as we detest it.  But that being said, we have gone in from time to time if there is something going on that we absolutely want to see.  I grumble (first world problems) but I do go.  So perhaps its more about people wanting to watch the programming rather than enjoying the venue?  The same crowd would likely show up to Explorer's Lounge - and then some (like me 🙂 ).

But I do get your point, there are people who don't see Princess Live as an issue.  I hope to see changes to it on the Sky.  I hope people report back that will be sailing on her this year.

If anyone has ever met anyone who likes Princess Live can they let us know. I am such a fan of Explores Lounge I think it that makes it worse with what Princess has done.

Completely agree.  Explorers Lounge is our favourite venue.  I sure hope they've made a change to Princess Live.  We completely avoid it, thus sometimes missing out on game shows, etc., that we always enjoy.

Jackie you had the opportunity to join all of us on the Sky next month...we’re all going to a Winemakers Dinner together.

Hope your Flexible EZair experience will be as positive as all of ours have been including as low as $171 for LAX/FCO.

Judy might need to get an unlimited internet package to book her flights. ☺️

LOL - you're absolutely correct, Frank.  And if you think I'm pouty now, wait until you are all actually on the cruise!  Ha ha.  We SO wish we didn't have to cancel on you all.

Hi Jackie...we are on pins & needles with you!!  I hope that this image will load - found on Princess website "approximately" 300 days prior.  The airlines are 330 and Princess is 300.  So I may be booking EZ Air for this Sky cruise while on the Sky!

Hey Judy 🙂  Yeah, I'm just anxious.  And I don't have the trip before this like you do to distract me!  Poor planning on my part for sure! LOL  If they are not available until you board your cruise, I will definitely shoot you an email ASAP.   And as was pointed out earlier, its 330 days (or so) from the END of the cruise.  In my haste, I totally missed that piece of info!

You can use the CHANGE FLIGHTS link to shop for new flights or the pricing on what you have already booked.  Nothing is going to change for just shopping and not making a booking.

Not sure why the anxiety as very few airlines seats are sold at the open date - usually FF's cashing in points for the few available seats.  Anyway, if you call Princess and ask, they can tell you what date EZ-Air bookings will open for your voyage.  I have done that and my calendar is marked to check EZ-Air then.  I may check a day prior just in case, but I also agree that Princess opens up air booking based on the end of the cruise as they want people to be able to book round trip tickets.  In our case, I may have to wait an extra couple of days as we intend to stay in the arrival city for extended time post-cruise (will have to see what happens when booking first open).

Thank you.  And you mistake my "anxiety" for pure excitement to book another part of the trip.  As I stated, I fully realize there is plenty of time.  I was just asking what others experienced in terms of when flights actually became available.  🙂

My experience is that flights appear on EZAir 5 to 10 days after the round trip flights appear on an airlines website.  So this tends to be 320 to 325 days prior to the end date of the cruise.  And the costs and / or flight parameters will change quite a bit after booking so check frequently and rebook if it is more advantageous to you.

The one and only time we used EZAir, I was very nervous about checking new prices, as I was afraid it would automatically cancel what I had already booked.

    Oh really?  Damn!  LOL

As I said, we have only used EZAir once, and I guess we fluked out with how early the flights were available.  I will have to tap down my impatience 😉

On our upcoming cruise I checked EZAir daily until flights were available. I believe it was 320 days or so before sailing. I booked them then and there and got a great price, less than what the airline or several of the major booking sites had for the same flights. The EZAir fares were flexible fares, which mean that they can be changed up to 45 days prior without penalty if the fare drops. So far I have seen a fare for the same flights $7 cheaper, not worth the effort and the chance of losing our good seats.

Thanks Doug.  Hopefully our flights will become available this coming week.

  10. We are waiting on pins and needles to book our flights for NEXT August (yes, plenty of time I know 🙂 ).We are now at 324 days from sailing.

Just curious what everyone's experience has been when booking.  Is their estimate of "330" days usually the case?  I know airlines are now offering flights for our dates, so I want to ensure we get the best possible options. We have only used EZ Air once, and our flights were available earlier than the 330 day guideline.

    TIA 🙂

Two years ago, we were booked on Majestic, Athens to Barcelona, 14 nights. We used EZ Air and flew Atlanta to Rome, spent three days, then flew on to Athens on morning of departure (using Princess transfer to ship.). After the cruise, spent two days in Barcelona, then flew (NOT part of EZ Air) to Dublin for six days in Ireland. Then we flew (using EZ Air again) from Dublin to Atlanta. About $600 pp.

I believe there is a limit of one stopover in each direction. That is why we had to book Barcelona to Dublin separately. (Cost less than $100 pp as I remember. On Aer Lingus.)

    That's great!  Thanks so much!

Join Friends of the Tattoo and you get priority ticket purchasing. It was around 25 euros to join. Our group split the cost and 1 person purchased all the tickets for our group. We sat on the side about 15 rows up. I think most seats would be okay. You

We did a tour with Exquisite Scotland, left the ship at 8:30am and returned around midnight. Toured Greenock and later made our way to Edinburgh for the Tattoo.

If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Thank you so much for posting this advice.  I do have a question:  when joining the website, it advises it is 25 GBP per person OR 45 GBP for 2 people living at the same address.  My question is - can one person join and buy more than one ticket?  I don't see the advantage of registering both my husband and myself, if one membership can purchase two tickets. Thanks in advance. 🙂

On your flight home you may want to do it using your first booking and changing the date to the last day of booking #2.  It might less expensive than to have a one way on each segment.

Thanks.  I'll definitely check it out before I reserve.  But I'm not sure I can because the second leg is a Transatlantic, and it is longer than 14 days.  From what I understand, 2 weeks before/after is the maximum time you can book.  Hopefully the flights are open soon and I can figure it all out!

    I appreciate your advice 🙂

I would suggest that you don’t necessarily book the Edinburgh to Copenhagen part through EZ air because it’s really easy and cheap to book with Norwegian air on this route. I’ve done it many times. Compare pricing before you book 🙂

If you are staying in Edinburgh and budget allows then please consider staying at Prestonfield House (hotel) I can guarantee you won’t regret it.

    Enjoy Scotland 😀

Thank you SO much!!!!!!!  I will definitely make note of both of your suggestions 🙂

We LOVE Scotland.  I lived in Aberdeen until I was 5, then we moved to Canada.  I returned often to visit family, and now my husband loves it as much as I do.

One caveat though.  If EZAir has not been allocated seats with the airline(s) that fly from Edinburgh to Copenhagen you will not be able to book that leg through them.

In our case we have a cruise that ends in Rome, but we are flying home from Gatwick.   The obvious airline is Easyjet,  but EZAir has no availability for that airline, or any other for that matter. As such we have booked that leg seperately on the Easyjet website.

Thanks.  That is what we originally planned, so if it doesn't go through EZAir, its not that difficult to book a quick one way from Edinburgh to Copenhagen.

    That’s been my experience.

I don’t think a MedallionClass B2B would affect that procedure.  Our Spring 2019 B2B 7-day cruises (only way to book it) were separate using my Cruise Personalizer but for OceanReady it was a single 14-day cruise with 2 booking numbers & 1 OceanMedallion.  We drove to LA & flew to Maui from YVR & hopefully it won’t affect your ability to book 2 one-way flights.

Thanks for the heads up, Frank.  I will check it all out before we book.  Although I'm not terribly concerned for our flight home, as its just a quick jump from NYC to Toronto.

It’s been awhile since booking an EZair roundtrip but if I recall correctly you’ll have to wait until 330 days before the return flight if booking roundtrip.

Actually, this is a b2b. We booked them seperately, so we have two different booking numbers.  I just assumed we could book the flight over using booking #1, and then our flight home using booking #2.  Is that correct?

You can book the entire flight with the stopover using EZAir. Select Copenhagen and the appropriate date for your destination. Then select the option to add a stop, and put in the arrival and departure dates for Edinburgh. This is a relatively new feature with EZAir, so I haven't heard from anyone yet who has used it, but it looks as if it could be perfect in your case.

This would be the BEST scenario!  Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Jackie...I’d recommend changing the date first because otherwise you get this warning because flights on departure date can only be to the embarkation port.  Would a similar itinerary for an earlier date to Edinburgh be available which I do for an airfare preview.

Thanks Frank.I'll try to do a ghost reservation.  We are only about 10 days until we are 330 out, so we should be able to book soon.  And the tattoo tickets are not on sale until December, so there is no panic.  I just wondered if it was even possible before I amp up my excitement! 🙂
