  1. LOL....geez people, how many times does it need to be said that this is a joke? Do you even read the whole thread?

This is No Joke, No haha at all. It's been stated so more than a few times.

Easy to get 30 miles to Port Canaveral from MCO in 4 hours. Last call at 4pm, ship leaves at 5pm.

  2. Hi I'm new to NCL just booked a cruise with them. I choose the drink package and internet, and i prepaid my regular gratuities and paid in full for my cruise but the lady i booked with didn't say anything about gratuities for the drink package. do they charge this daily? or is it totaled in when i paid? Thanks

Have you already "Paid" as you stated?

If so, you know what they say bout Snoozin :*

NCL already billed you for the UBP Grats and you didn't notice.

Well if so why worry about it Now. Your balance is Zero, "Paid In Full".....

  3. This cruise was possibly one of the worst experiences my wife and I have ever had while on vacation. This was our first cruise, so we don't have much to compare with. We are told by a lot of people that NCL was the quite cruiseline, compared to Carnival and Royal Caribbean. The shear amount of drunk people (collage aged or other) was intolerable. We are not alcohol drinkers (got that out of our systems long ago) so we just purchased the soda package, but how difficult it was to order a drink was horrible. The bed in our mini suite was horrible, I'd have to say that we have slept on better mattresses at motel 6. And many more issues to add to those. Due to the stress my wife endured on this cruise this may possibly be our first and only cruise. The only cruise we may take in the near future will be a Disney cruise next year with our 3 children. If we decide to ever cruise ourselves again we will be going Princess or Celebrity only. Also as far as this incident with the woman going overboard, I was in the smoking area on Deck 15 when this occurred. She lowered herself from the sundeck on 16 and placed her feet on the pipe that runs along the glass on 15. She lost her footing due to her drunken/high state and how windy it was. I saw this first hand. People did try to reach through the openings of the glass, but we're unable to reach her before she fell. I am thankful she did not die. But from my understanding she will be charged with some kind of crime. Also, as to her age, I did not get a good look at her before she fell, but from what I could see, I'd say she was definitely over the ago of 40 .

Woe slow it down Newbie. After this first cruise experience, you have some huge courage to even consider going out again.

On your first cruise, being on a ship full of spring break incorrigibles and a witnessing a lady doing a swan drive from deck 15 would easily be enough for 99% of us to Never Go Cruising Again !!

After this first cruise experience, why not try something a bit more upscale?

Unless you are looking for more punishment, No Disney, No NCL, No RCCL. Could give your a great opportunity to experience cruise 3, 4, 5.

  4. Have you guys not seen the AZ spring weather?? Why wouldn't you think the 1st SWA flight out of Phx isn't going to land at least 20 minutes early, land at 12 nooner or sooner in ORL?? Driving from Airport to Cape C eastbound is soooo pretty easy all the way around.

No need to hurry up a day early and wait for 30 hours.

Won't even even miss same day 3pm Mustard..... Darn !! :halo:

  5. Don't try to become something your Not. Celebrity has a nice little niche with the S Class ships and should focus on doing this size of ship better and focus on what they Celebrity does right, not so much of increasing profits by cutting corners. Do it better with what you do Celebrity!

For me, due to the lack of quality entertainment, higher than reasonable pricing, along with not having a lot of dining or bar choices, my business has moved over to more choices found with the new larger ships, primarily to NCL.

  6. I agree, price drops, do happen. But, I'm finding the drops are happening later, many times less than a week prior to the cruise. I cruise at least every month, and have no problem leaving the next day- with all my reservations in place. My style of travel- with 12 NCL crusies last year- none with supplements. Just got off of 2 on the Sun with the second- snagging the price dump 2 days prior.

There are many ways to search, through the NCL site, simply look at the current month.

Many times, fast decisions have to be made, so just place a hold- will usually give you 2 hours. This is plenty of time for me to make my arrangements.

Great make it happen last minute strategy!!
