  1. Andrew I was wondering if you might change your plans again! I kept ours for Saturday and now it looks like the snow will be done down by the airport tomorrow between 2 and 3pm, a bit later north of that where we live. Just need to get to the airport hotel sometime Friday night. They are not hyping this storm up as much as last weeks, so hoping that is good. Glad you were able to switch and leave tonight though! If it were up to me I would have done the same, but DH can't just leave work like that. See you on board and safe travels!
  2. I totally agree with the above. If you are going to keep them just to store in boxes in a spare room, I think it would be better to donate to organizations who could actually use them. Keep all the quilts that you will use or display for sure!
  3. So funny story, my DH and I are 8th cousins once removed. 🤣 My father is a genealogist by hobby and has traced his side back very far. We know we are descendants of one of the paid soldiers that was on the Mayflower and more. Anyway when my DH and were dating my father quizzed him on family names. I grew up in NJ and DH grew up in MI. One name stood out, VanBuskirk, and sure enough that is our common ancestor who settled in then New Amsterdam, moved to NJ, and had many sons who during the revolution were divided between the King and the Colonists. After the war, my brother stayed in NJ and DH's brother emigrated to Nova Scotia, then Ontario and then Swartz Creek MI, which is outside of Flint, MI. And we actually met each other at a wedding held in Flint, MI.🤣
  4. Another senseless shooting here in Michigan. Please pray for the whole community of MSU, especially those students who are also from Oxford High School. Thankfully, all of the students that I know who are there are currently safe.😪 Happy Valentine's Day to all of my friends on Dani's thread!❤️ Happy birthday to @A&L_Ont to your Lisa 🎂 Happy birthday to you @sgmn Sue 🎂
  5. As soon as I saw the players chewing up the field and slipping, I remembered, oh yeah the same thing happened in the Fiesta Bowl this year. After the first several plays watching the Michigan players slipping all over, I said to my DH and DS, they need to change their cleats! So, obviously there is a problem at State Farm Stadium. NFL really screwed this one up, and I didn't care who won as a NYG fan. I will say the rest of the stadium is very nice.
  6. Would you be so kind as to share your treatment process. My DH just tested positive today for the first time and I had to cancel a trip to NC as I would feel horrible if I ended up getting anyone ill (feel fine as of now). Thanks!
  7. @dani negreanuSo sorry you are going thru this. Add me to the list of those praying that these quakes subside!!
