  1. Oh Helen I am so sorry to hear about your accident. I am thankful it was not worse, though. I also think your DH should leave you at the terminal and get your car to pick you up. Good luck with everything and let us know how it all goes on Dani's thread. Celebrity Beyond is a wonderful ship!
  2. I will be on Explorer of the Seas leaving from Ravenna on May 25th and visiting Athens, Santorini, Kotor and Split and I can't wait!!!
  3. @A&L_Ont Happy birthday to Owen!!! @Sea Dog Your final meal looked so wonderful. I am so glad you had an awesome trip! @Ourusualbeach Have a wonderful cruise Ken! Your stateroom looks awesome. We had cushioned loungers in the Retreat on Beyond and I am forever spoiled!
  4. @laurieal So glad to hear you made it home safe and sound. I was wondering if you could tell me where you stayed when you were at Disney? Thanks ever so much!
  5. OMG so sorry for you!!! What a pain in the @#$!😡 I got an email alert yesterday and text from Citibank about my Costco Visa. It appears that my trip to Marshall's on Friday turned into a hack job. I know it is not quite the same as yours, but it is all so infuriating!!!
  6. I think you are confused. Maryann doesn't live in Leland, she lives in NJ. I am the one moving to Leland in a few years. And for what it is worth, Wilmington is a very nice city.
  7. Thanks for the wonderful review and safe travels back home to see your kitty!
  8. @LadyZolt Safe travels back home and thanks so much for posting on this thread. Your comments and pictures were top notch! @CSHS1979 Laura, good to see John's face too!
  9. Those are all places I know well! My parents moved to Leland, NC in 2005 and my DH and I are currently building our retirement home there too. I went to the aquarium last Christmas and noticed Ft. Fisher was having some work done to it so hopefully it is completed by now. A fun day for you!
  10. Hi CC friends! It has been a rough 10 days. As some already know from that other site that shall remain nameless, I lost my dear father very unexpectedly on April 18th. He was in good health up to the very end and would have been 88 this August. I returned home today after a week down in North Carolina, where he lived, to help my sister take care of all the "things". My sister moved down there from NJ last summer. While I am still a little bit in shock that he is gone (my mother died in 2014), I am so thankful he was living life to the fullest up to the very end and we were all together the first weekend of April for a fun filled time. My father had moved into a lovely independent living community in the fall of 2022 so he had downsized quite a bit which was very helpful this past week as were emptying his apartment. I also urge everyone to have all their important papers organized in a file for your loved ones, should anything happen unexpectedly as did for us. Even though we knew where all the "stuff" was he still had little post it notes all over his desk of passwords for his computer. 😃 We will be having a Celebration of Life in the summer down in NC for him.
  11. Greg, I agree with everything that has been said. Have a great time and don't let anyone "ruin" it for you.
  12. As always a fun time reading your reviews. Appreciate the time you take to keep us informed. Hope your travels home go smoothly.
