I just came off of a suite on the Viva. You embark with Haven guests. I was with some people without suites and decided to just wait in the regular line with them because it wasn’t long. They didn’t have my key card there and had someone escort me to the Haven check-in. I could have then stayed in the Haven lounge, but instead went directly onto the ship.

I don’t think it would be fair for NCL to be expected to compensate people due to something decided by a government.

My specialty dining reservations (that I called for) show up the same way. It just shows I have something booked that day, but doesn’t say what it is. I did get a confirmation e-mail that lists the restaurants and days/times.

I’m on it in October and they offered it, but I declined.

I am also a solo traveler disembarking in Trieste. The latest flight I could get was 11:45, so I’m going to spend the day and night in Venice. I know you said you’re not comfortable with that, but if you took the 11am flight the next day, you wouldn’t need to do any taxis after dark/before sunrise.

Haha. Thanks for making me laugh. That’s pretty much how I thought it would be. I think since I’m already spending as much as I am (especially for the new-ship smell of the Viva lol), I’m not going to cheap out on excursions. I chose this cruise solely for the ports. That’s also why I’m not concerned about all the negative reviews of the Prima. There are no sea days.

Thank you for your help! I am on the roll call and already booked a small group tour in Naples with some people I met there. The tour has great reviews and costs less than a tour with similar sites through NCL. So I’m thinking that really the only advantage of NCL tours is the ship waiting if anything happens. But that should be manageable by not cutting it close on times.

First time cruising NCL. I’ll be on the Viva in the Mediterranean in October. I’m looking at excursions and wondering if the ship’s excursions are typically big groups. I’d like to use the $50 credits, but I prefer smaller groups. Thanks in advance!
