  1. I see that...but I don't see what the context was as I neglected to quote a particular post. I do know that there have been recent discussions about moving future WC's to the Explorer. I do know that both Mariner and Voyager have drydocks coming next year and that Mariner's was going to be "special". I also know that the next ship will be a new class of ship with a slightly different purpose.
  2. I have no knowledge of that - nor have I posted about it. I could ask but I know Voyager has a drydock scheduled (17 days I think) late next year.
  3. Don't sweat it - Voyager is a wonderful ship and I wouldn't hesitate to go on her tomorrow.
  4. Your TA does - that is the only way to delete an excursion.
  5. Agreed! Regent allows and encourages families to cruise together. Seeking to block an age group that Regent allows would be like a guest trying to block those guests over 80. It's just ridiculous. As long as a guest behaves and follows the rules, they should be welcome.
  6. I would expect a good number of kids on board for this cruise. Regent should put on a staff member if there are more than 10-12 younger kids (nothing your 16 would be interest in) to assist (not babysit). The vast majority of people have absolutely no issue with kids and neither does Regent. If your kids are well behaved there will be no issues at all. In fact, it has been my experience that kids are better behaved than adults. You will have a wonderful time!!!
  7. I think it is Windstar. Their Dir. of Marketing lives there and is married to a senior Regent staff member.
  8. You have to call Regent and they will release it.
  9. I see it across the board from all cruise lines.....and they print all their documents right onboard.
  10. I made no statement of approval. I am just amazed that you think a cruise line would cancel a berthing months out to not incur the cost and then not tell the guests until they boarded. That would be fraud.
  11. OK - not sure how that fits into your comment. If they cancelled a few days out, they didn't save any money on the berthing. Do you think they cancelled it months out (far enough to not be charged) and then didn't tell yo until you boarded?
  12. You think they cancelled their berthing months out in order to save the berthing fee and then blamed it on a holiday?
  13. That is the fastest DL speed I have yet seen on Regent....I've seen nothing over 4MBPS with Starlink. Of note is that RCL has DL speeds approaching 60MBPS but coast $20 - $25 a day.
  14. If you don't get a reply here, Regent will tell you about senior staff up to 60 days out.
  15. This is only one of a couple of dozen things they plan to add...
  16. They will be offering a wide range of special opportunities...this is just one that I could access quickly.
  17. Here is an example... We are thrilled to announce a very special partnership with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team. As the team’s first official Global Cruise Line Partner, Regent and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team will collaborate to create exclusive experiences, including special shore excursions and Spotlight Voyages, which will immerse F1™ fans and luxury cruisers into the worlds of ultra-luxury cruising and high-performance motor racing. This is an incredible opportunity for you to tap into a new audience of clients looking for once-in-a-lifetime moments with Regent as we launch these exclusive experiences soon.
  18. Agreed. Voyager still has crappy internet provider. Regent not swapping to Starlink until existing service contracts expire later this year.
  19. Maybe they meant to say "DSL speeds in your cabin...".
  20. Given that it appears service is capped at 4mbps that isn't so bad....far better than it used to be.
  21. The GM 2 is a trans-oceanic liner that is almost twice as long and 3x the tonnage. It is built for high speed in trans-oceanic crossings. It would handle seas FAR better than a tiny cruise ship. https://www.cruisehive.com/ocean-liner-vs-cruise-ship/67194
  22. All senior staff works for Regent. The other 97% work for Apollo Management out of Miami.
  23. Currently active on Mariner and Grandeur. I believe the other ships have been wired but the service has not yet been turned on pending completion of existing provider contracts (as per sources at Regent and the provider).
