  1. We had the same problem. One time it was so bad they were going to give us a free dinner but I had my 5* benefit booked. I had them give a $65 bottle of wine. One night we arrived for our 6pm reservation and there were about 15 people lined up to get in. John hadn't gotten his meal by the time I finished mine. This has been an ongoing problem since January at the least.
  2. @richwmn thank you for creating the Daily for us 4 years ago.
  3. Happy 4th Anniversary to the Daily!! 🍾🎂 It is a beautiful chilly morning today. The main pair of swans on the lake built a nest in the cat tails behind the house and she finally settled in on it yesterday. Poor thing we are going to get lake effect snow the next couple days and a protracted cold spell. Thanks for the Daily Reports and maps Jacqui and Roy! a good quote today. I will pass on the cocktail and the box wine but the non-air fryer chicken would be wonderful. Thanks for researching these for us each day! Thanks for the cares and celebrations lists Vanessa. Wow @Nickelpenny you won a cruise too! You deserve some positive excitement from this cruise! Prayers for everyone on our care list and those in war zones, Ukraine and the innocents in Gaza. @StLouisCruisers thanks for the photos of Moorea today. We will be there in March next year on our long winter sojourn on a BHB. I am working on my calendar for the cruises today as I have booked so many HIA that I need to get them straight so when our Roll Calls are offering up private excursions I will be prepared to jump on them. I expect there will be more beautiful photos from @Quartzsite Cruiser and others. Have a nice Saturday. Nancy
  4. @Suslor @RedneckBob @Crazy For Cats Bon Voyage! 🍾🍾🍾
  5. @Nickelpenny Congratulations on your jackpot!!
  6. @StLouisCruisers Happy Birthday to your DB! 🎂 @Mr. Boston Happy birthday to your DM! 🎂 @Denise T I hope that Fiona is on the mend today and all goes well at the vet's office. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet Reports each day Jacqui and Roy! I will pass on the meal and the cocktail but today's Zin looks tasty. I appreciate all the work to do these for us each day! Vanessa, thanks for the Cares and Celebrations reports Seem like we have some Bon Voyages coming soon. Prayers for all on our care list and those in war zones, Ukraine and the innocents in Gaza. It is a lousy day here with darkness and rain. A garden club friend is coming over and we will be planning our club's own Environmental School in 2025. I will be late again tomorrow as I have to go get my stitches our on my arm and who knows if John will want to do some type of road trip since the weather won't be too nice again tomorrow, just not so rainy. Have a lovely day! Nancy
  7. I am just getting caught up. Early and long doctor appointment. Then I got home and John wanted to go to Lowe's to get lawn treatments, then Costco and then my bird feed store. By the time I got my morning chores done John needed gas for the lawn tractor. I think he will get those 10 40lb. bags of treatments down this afternoon. We have about 1/2-1" of rain coming tonight so hos timing will be perfect. Sad to read above that HA is suspending the MDR lunch on the first day. More people slamming in the Lido. @summer slope wow! I am sorry about the complications of your tooth extraction. @Seasick Sailor so sad to read about Allan's low sodium, that can be really problematic. Have a lovely afternoon! Nancy
  8. @grapau27 Please tell Pauline we wish her a happy birthday!
  9. Thanks for the Daily and maps @kazu and @rafinmd. I hope to make it to today's port some time in the future. A good quote by Nabokov. I will pass on the meal, the squash has halted for a while and the slow cooker is out, not my favorite way to cook. To me everything tastes the same in the dish. Another banana cocktail, nope. Today's Aussie wine looks like a winner. @JazzyV thanks for compiling our daily cares and celebrations lists. Prayers for everyone needing them and people in war zones through no fault of their own. @Haljo1935 thinking of you this morning, I hope that you get good news. @marshhawk I feel for you having to keep Chuck on an even keel and he is suffering from his cancer so much. @smitty34877 thanks for sharing the photo of Miss Camilla my she has grown! Another day of Zoom for me. 11:30-5:15 with a ten minute break. I guess they expect us to eat during the classes. There was a test last night and the only one I got wrong was a poorly worded question that no answer would have been correct. It is a beautiful day here, I hope it holds through tomorrow. Then almost an inch of rain around the weekend. High of 64 today and high predicted for 39 on Monday, I am simply we have no snow! When we got home from the cruise there was a little black pile of snow in the Walmart parking lot, that is long gone. Have a lovely day! Nancy
  10. @Overhead Fred Happy birthday to your dear wife Mitzi!
  11. Good morning everyone! I am still dealing with DST. I stay up just as late as I always do but don't get up until the sun is up. @Nickelpenny I am so sorry that you lost your Martina. What a sad way to lose your kitty and I am sure the young man petsitting is devastated too.
  12. Good Monday morning! Thanks for the Daily and maps Jacqui and Roy! Vanessa thank you for the Cares and Celebrations lists. Prayers for those who need it and those in war zones, Ukraine and the innocents in Gaza. @StLouisCruisers so happy to read that Morgan will be settling into her new apartment. I have to sign onto five ours of Zoom classes in a few minutes. Have a lovely Monday! Nancy
  13. @Dfish04 Please wish DS Sue a Happy Birthday! 🎂
  14. Good morning everyone. I guess I am not the only one who got a late start today. Thanks for stepping in for Jacqui Roy! We truly appreciate everyone who steps up every day to start our day! Thanks @kazu, @rafinmd, @richwmn, @summer slope, @cat shepard, @dfish and @JazzyV for stepping up every day! Jacqui I hope you are feeling better this morning! A wonderful quote to start our day and some beautiful photos of Alexandria @StLouisCruisers! I am sure they will be many more of this popular port. I will pass on the meal and the cocktail but a good SB is always perfect! Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa! Prayers for everyone needing them and the people in war zones, Ukraine and the innocents in Gaza. It snowed here overnight but it won't last as it is warming up some today and it will get into the 60s this coming week. A busy week ahead for me with a 2 day Zoom Environmental School I am taking part in, 2 doctor appointments and a planning meeting for an Environmental School that our garden club will be hosting in 2025. I am planning on watching the Oscars tonight. Have a lovely Sunday! Nancy
  15. @grapau27 Please share our sympathy with Sara. A sad day for your family. @StLouisCruisers thanks for sharing Graham's sad news. We are heading out to get the mulch we didn't get yesterday. It was rainy and blowing sideways out of the east so we postponed until today. Today is no prize either so it shouldn't be busy at the garden center. Thanks for the Daily Reports and maps Jacqui and Roy. @Mtn2Sea thank you for the gorgeous photos from Reunion Island. What a gorgeous place! @JazzyV thank you for the care list each day. Prayers for those needing them and those in war zones, Ukraine and the innocents in Gaza. Have a lovely Saturday! Nancy
  16. Good morning! Thanks for the Daily Reports and maps! I will celebrate International Women's Day and my middle name is Jeanne. A very good quote today. Will pass on the cocktail and the soup will probably be excellent if it spends a day to get the short rib grease off the top. I used to braise them a lot but John doesn't care for them. I would always make them the day before and refrigerate overnight to be able to skim the fat and it also developed more flavor. Thanks for the photos of today's port Sandi, thank in advance for any additional. Prayers for everyone on our care list. Annie I was saddened to read you couldn't get your Januvia due to the new price. There is price gouging going on because that drug has been out for many years, there are no more developmental costs. 😠 We sure took advantage of the pharmacy in Cozumel while we were there. I hadn't been to Mexico since 2017 so the list was long. Prayers for Tana and everyone else needing prayers. Prayers for those in war zones, Ukraine and the innocents in Gaza. Originally we were heading to get mulch at a nursery about 15 miles away because they carry big chunks but rain is due along with high winds so we will stay put. I will probably mop the kitchen after a day of John's cooking. Our birthday dinner with DB was fun and we hadn't had them over in a long time, especially because last year he was in terrible shape from his knee replacement and then we left on an 81 day cruise. Have a lovely Friday! Nancy
  17. Good morning everyone. Late for me today, I have been to the store and unloaded everything and started some work on dinner. My DB is coming over for an 81st birthday dinner. John is making asparagus soup, and we are having ribs and scalloped potatoes. Cheesecake with raspberries for dessert. Thanks for the Daily Reports and the maps Jacqui and Roy. A very good quote. I will pass on the cocktail and would try the wine once to see if it causes migraine but the enchiladas look wonderful. Thank you for researching these for us @summer slope, @dfish and @cat shepard. Prayers for all on our care list and those in war zones, Ukraine and the innocents in Gaza. No pain whatsoever with my are, just a lot of work to clean and bandage the area each day. Have a lovely Thursday! Nancy
  18. @kazu Jacqui, your Marley story was the same for my 19 year old Maine Coon. I had the home visit vet scheduled to come to my house to euthanize her two days later. The next day she was at her food bowl chowing down. I called the vet and said bring the stuff for blood work as she had rallied. The next day when the vet was coming Lydia hadn't slept with me and I found her hiding in the basement. Needless to way there was no blood work done. 19 years was a very long life for a Maine Coon.
