I figured there would be confusion regarding this. The need to call and tieup the reps will only increase hold times also.

Just got my edocs today for Allure next month. Never would of noticed the change in all the contract stuff. Thank you OP! I will call and prepay.

Used a large agency for years before Covid. Got lots of perks. Now I hear this agency does not answer the phone and only replies to emails days later. Seems like a 'Con' to me. Looking for another agency who still provides good customer service with some perks thrown in.

I have seen news stories that state 6 night cruises are exempt from testing. This topic really needs to be updated to avoid confusion. Royal needs to send an email reminder to all that have 6 or more night cruises in the future that testing is required. The press and some folks here are missing a key detail.

March is definitely Spring Break.

It depends on the port and ship also. The 4 and 5 night cruises out of Tampa are pretty mellow. Older ships that don't attract a large younger crowd. Never been during Spring Break though....

I like all Oasis class ships, but prefer Allure. I would book any of them if the price is right. The Diamond lounge on Allure is probably the best in the fleet also. Huge windows overlooking the boardwalk area and aft without the slide blocking views. Met my favorite bartender in the Champagne Bar that would of been replaced with robots. I would like Playmakers added as Rita's pay one price for food is not my thing. Space seems underutilized also. Ordering from a menu in Playmakers and pitchers of beer is an attractive option to me.

Ate most breakfasts on Serenade late last year in WJ with some in the MDR. Love the WJ outdoor seating aft. Never ate inside WJ for lunch either. Always sat in the outdoor aft section. The Brilliance class design that allows the option to eat outside suits us best. We avoided breakfast and lunch on Allure in WJ at all costs. Less variety of food than Serenade and too crowded and enclosed. Depends on the ship really to what you like and can tolerate. Breakfast in the solarium bistro on Allure was a good choice, but discovered it too late on our last cruise in May. Will only eat there or MDR for breakfast on our next Allure cruise.

Allure has no escape room or lazer tag area and no annoying purple slide to block the aft view! Ice skating show was still on our b2b in May. 70's show took place in the promenade also. Never heard of a dinner show on any Royal ship. Can't wait to sail again on Allure next month! Glad Royal did not spend the money to amp her with gimmicks like the robotic bar also.

Believe you should of started cruising again earlier. Our 3 cruises late last year with under 50 percent capacity were the best cruises I recall. No lines or drama with WJ staff plating your food. Able to wait in your cabin until your number was called on departure day. Now they pack the ship regardless of how much crew they have.... Prices were so much cheaper late last year also. It was the best of both world's.

You are in a suite. You get priority boarding. No problems with that.

Not your job, but assigned check in times should be enforced at the pier by the company that Royal contracts out.

You state that the goal of the cruise company is to stagger the arrival of the passengers. How are you helping that by trying to check in prior your assigned check in time? Interesting you feel your vacation is more important to those of us who wait for their assigned check in window.

Never spent a fortune on any cruise. I adhere to my check in time and get an earlier one 45 days ahead. Interesting that you feel that you should take priority to check in ahead of us who plan ahead of time and adhere to our scheduled check in time. Hope they make you wait to check in if you disregard your check in time.

I have to agree... Get rid of the check in times unless they are enforced at every port of departure.

Guys don't hold grudges based on my experience. A few beers will get us over anything. Don't feel bad....

You were wrong not to include the suite details. You are just trying to pick a fight. Had no issues had I known you were in a suite.

Think you need to get over yourself and thinking assigned check in times do not apply to you. Why rules need to be enforced for those like you who think they are better than other's that play by the rules.

Might as well throw a towel on a lounge chair near the pool all day to save it and brag about it. Seems like that would be ok with you.

I get your situation and the cheater term might be harsh. Lines are longer for Oasis class ships and sounds like you were on a smaller ship without as many passengers and no need to book shows. Line was huge at 11:30am check in on Allure in Ft Lauderdale. Oasis class only allows you to book the shows in the pier area also and not weeks ahead of time like in the past which leads many to ignore thier check in time. The need to board early as possible does not apply to you. Thank you for your thoughts.

Ship capacity was low for our cruises out of Tampa late last year , but they did a great job enforcing check in times. Again, should be enforced no matter what ship or port to be fair.

My issue is allowing people to check in prior to their assigned times. It has moved on those who disregard their check in time. I was wrong to state boarding time and not 11:30 check in time on my OP.

Tired of the excuses for those who choose to check in earlier prior to their assigned time. Always done it 45 days ahead of time to get an earlier time since last year. Many do it at the stoke at midnight also. I sleep in and do it in the early morning and get a 30 minute later time than the first check in time. It is the way the process is suppose to work since the changes to check in due to Covid.

VIP status for you! Disregarded your check in time. It is cheating. Seems to be common.
