Can anyone post or direct me to where I can find the menus for the 10 night Caribbean sailings? Thanks….appreciate it.

We disembarked the Rotterdam and had a 10:55 am flight. We got on line for self disembarkation at 6:15am….first ones….we left the ship around 7:10….was first in a taxi and was at the airport about 7:45. Lines were crazy. We got to our gate at about 10:15…..it was a long walk to Our Delta flight. Part of the problem was you could not get a boarding pass unless you went to an agent because they had to check your covid test results. Since testing is no longer for returning to the US, I would think some of the issues will be resolved but do not know that for a fact. We had sky priority which got us on a shorter security line which helped out. No doubt it was stressful but we had our flights before these delays at Amsterdam started so we had to go with it.

Is there a dollar amount as to which restaurant you can book?

Have this as a perk…..how do I book this ahead of time? Or do I have to wait until onboard. I prefer to book my restaurants early. Can I book and pay and then have them adjust payment once onboard? Thanks!

We were on deck 4 in an aft vista suite on the Rotterdam just a week ago…..we had no soot. Loved it. Cabin was roomy with plenty of great storage and a really nice bathroom…..bed near the balcony but it was nice laying in bed looking at the fjords…

Right…..our 2 cruises had masks required……if recommended we could not have and would not have complained.

They did not do their best. They did nothing. They could have had someone in the theater reminding people to wear their masks. They could have told someone they were speaking directly to to put on their mask, instead of ignoring that they were not wearing a mask... They made no attempt…if they tried and no one listened at least they would have made an attempt….

I agree. It was ridiculous. Made many of us uncomfortable. We were put into a position of having to ask people to mask up and not letting unmasked enter an elevator, which we rarely took. We had a great cruise and would do HAL again, but not until we don’t have to worry about Covid. Very disappointed in them.

They did not test between our b2b for the Norwegian fjords

Kristiansand was a really nice town just to walk around.

We were on May 22 until June 5th. I thought the dining room dinners were excellent…just wish they didn’t just do a 7 day cycle since so many people were on b2b and more. Tamarind was our favorite special restaurant and Rudi’s our least favorite. Canaletto was very good, especially for the price. the music, especially the BBKing blues club, were excellent. The National Geographic presentation each week was also excellent. HAL implemented mandatory masks indoors and on excursions but failed and refused to enforce it. They did the mask mandate because of a high amount of Covid onboard so why refuse to enforce. the naming ceremony was for the special guests and the regular passengers were treated poorly. Our dinner reservations that night were changed without notifying us because they had their guests. We showed up and we’re told to come back at 8:15….at which time there was a mad dash to find a table to sit at.

On deck 5 today…..cabins 5134 to 5160 are isolation….only one side now….you would be on the odd side and further forward, so safe if they used the other side again..

A few people complained the first few days about no enforcement…we asked that they make the announcement in Dutch also and have security go around the theatre before the show starts….they refused to do anything. Passengers go into any venue…to play games or read, and as soon as they do, they remove their masks….no drinking or eating involved. we are not happy about their response and don’t think we will be sailing HAL again in the near future. again, they changed the rules for a reason…high covid counts? They should not have given us the mask announcement when boarding if they were not going to enforce it.

On Rotterdam now and both the 4th and 5th decks between the mid and aft elevators are isolation. We are aft and can only access our cabin from the aft elevator or else we need to go down to 3, walk aft, and then go up to 4. no announcements of any kind about covid cases onboard. we were told upon embarking that masks were now mandatory indoors….no one is enforcing it, except maybe in the Lido….this was their change in policy for our cruise, for apparently a high case load, but they don’t enforce…then why give a change in policy for our cruise?

The issue is that when boarding the Rotterdam, we were told that we had to mask up indoors, if not eating or drinking…..so they should enforce their new rule on this ship.
