On a topic somewhere I saw a flyer for an $89 10 drink card which could be purchased on boarding.

I have done many RCI cruises and have never seen this on sale on boarding.

I dont want to buy the drinks package because I am Diamond and will get drinks during the happy hour and will pay for any drinks after that time .

this 10 drink card would be useful.

Anyone seen or bought one of these?

Did they let you keep the wine?

On a recent NCL  cruise we had to attend the naughty room to collect our luggage, they had found my kettle  and this was not allowed. We did get it back on the last night.

what experiences have people had with being summoned to the naughty room on RCCL ?

what had they packed which was not allowed?

Did they give you the item back on departure?

We are seasoned cruisers with RCCL, Celebrity  but contemplating an Caribbean MSC cruise and have a few questions.

I have been reading the reviews and they have raised a few worrying points.

are announcements in 7 languages?

is smoking allowed inside the ship?

is the Buffet closed in the evenings?

we did a disastrous Costa cruise some time ago and found these , amongst other things , spoilt our enjoyment.

Careful what you post on Facebook groups.

I was bumped off the group for the Indy  TA on 26 october for mentioning the meet and mingle and posting a link. Someone else was bumped for trying to organise a slot pull.

if you post something that admin dont like they just remove you but don't tell you why.

Dont hold your breath re getting an upgrade based on your C and A status.

we are Diamond + and have never been given an upgrade.😟

Please can you post some photos of the cruise compass showing what activities there are during the sea days

I have a problem with my shoulder  and cannot carry anything in that hand or use a back pack . I need my  good hand  to hold on or hold my paperwork, that is what is so hard.

I understand you can take 2 bottles of wine on embarkation.

I dont do a carry on bag just a small handbag.

if I pack 2 bottles in my luggage will  they be conficated?

Thank I am doing the transatlantic so 8 days at sea , as a solo.

The tip about signing on in the afternoon  is a good one 😊

we have been to Rio , Bueno aries and Columbia  and Jamaica was by far the most frghtening.

Omg. This is a thread from 2013. Yes they still have coffee makers in the balconies but why wouldn’t you just order room service for your am coffee??

Many reasons.

We like a coffee as soon as we wake up . Which may be 6 am or 9 am . After all we are on holiday and dont have to be up at a specific time.

If you book room service say between 7 and 7.30 , it can arrive anytime between 6.45 and 7.45.

Often the coffee is not very hot.

Much rather make our own :)

We have bid on an upgrade departing next week.

According to other post notifcation is usually sent 2 days before .

We are leaving home 3 days before and will have printed luggage labels and e docs before we leave home.

If we get the upgrade we will have the wrong edocs and labels.

Do we have to find an internet cafe to print out new docs, we are staying in an apartment with no reception.?

Don't understand why you are getting yourself in a spin ! The longer you wait for an assigned stateroom the more chance you may have for an upgrade.

We have already had an assigned cabin 2 weeks ago which was an upgrade and that has been removed , given to someone else according to out TA who spoke to Cunard and we have gone back to 'to be assigned'

I am more concerned about overbooking .... I have heard that Cunards over booking compensation is money back and a small discount of another cruise.

I am a bit of a control freak and like to have all my ducks in a row .

I am keeping my fingers crossed 😳😳😳

VERY VERY UNIMPRESSED with Cunard customer service.

Still no cabin assigned

Just spent 30 minutes on the phone to Cunard waiting for a reply .

Then rang and selected the complaints department still no answer after 15 minutes.

TA offered to send us blank luggage tags and said maybe the cabin would be assigned at check in...... Oh yes and then bags left on the quayside.....

We were allocated BB 5109 (booked a BC guarantee). Hope you are upgraded and not downgraded. Keep checking 😀

Just spoke to TA who was on hold for an hour waiting for Cunard to answer.

They said the cabin we had been allocated 8058 has been given to someone else and we will get a cabin eventually sounds like a downgrade on its way.

Also she asked why we have not been notified of itinerary change ,they sent her a pdf with the new intinerary and this comment.

I am sure you are aware of several terrorist incidents in recent months in Istanbul, most recently the attack on Ataturk International Airport.

As a result, and following advice from the relevant authorities, we have taken the decision to remove Istanbul from our itineraries for the foreseeable future, including the planned call on your cruise.

We will be replacing Istanbul with a call to Volos on the Greek mainland

and adding an additional call to Marmaris in Turkey. Please see below for full details regarding your revised itinerary.
