Our last cruise, we noticed our succulent had several tiny bugs crawling on it upon checking into our room. We quickly had our steward take it away and asked that it did not get replaced. They were on the plant, dirt, and on the table where it was sitting. Wigged me out for a bit, but hit the Haven bar for a few drinks and I was quickly over it!

If there are 4 of us in a room, and 1 is sapphire, 1 platinum (other 2 adults silver and gold), we still only get 2 dinners for 2 correct, since it is per cabin? Do we at least get 2 bags of laundry?
-
Disappeared from mine too.

So if you currently book the deluxe owners suite, I take it that reservation automatically switches over to the Premiere after the dry dock?
-
How many people will the new 3 bedroom owners suites sleep? 6 or 8?

Cruising this Saturday on NCL Joy in inside cabin. Put in 3 bids about 2 weeks ago for OV, Balcony and Club Balcony, I put in enough to be an OK range but not above what it was selling for at the time.
I guess my best bet is to wait until the day of or should I contact my TA to see if I can pay for an upgrade? All rooms look to be sold out and it's 4 days to go.
I think you are SOL, since it appears the opportunity for paying for the upgrade are gone. But I am sure you will still have an amazing time.

How was the water? In the picture it looks like the Jersey shore. Drink looks good though!

Yum! We usually request chips and salsa everyday.

Thanks for taking the time to do this! Are you on the 17th or 18th floor of the courtyard? We go in a few weeks and now worried about mildew smells. Should I pack room spray?

I always put everyone under me for online check in, then at the port, we put different people under their own credit cards or do not give charging privileges to them. They get that all squared away at that time.

The set is the same. I definitely prefer the seating on the Getaway over the Escape, although a band member mentioned they can fit more people in the Escape with the seats this way.
-
Must be on the smaller ships then. The Escape, Getaway, Breakaway, and larger newer ships do not have these.
-
I don’t think the main dining room is open for lunch, but Taste and Savor are as is the buffet.

Other ships do not have non-Haven suites that include butler service. Joy was unique in that way and NCL made the change to align that ship with the others.
17 hours ago, Sigyn said:That must have been really disappointing. Particularly since the other ships still offer a butler in non-Haven suites, if I'm reading this right. I'm glad you were able to go ahead and upgrade to the Haven and have the service you had anticipated. But not fair of NCL to change it like that and only give you $200 OBC.

Whichever one you go too, they are both nice and similar. Docked in AC last August and TB this past January. TB is brand new, and because of that to us is the better stop, but both have pools (TB also has a lazy river), shops (TB just has more), food and bars (again TB has more options). Plus TB has a monkey activity right in the port that is cool and priced reasonably. But either way you can’t go wrong with either stop and if you book a ship excursion, operators will pick you up and the right place.

Thanks for this review! We are back in the Escape at the end of August, can’t wait!

This is an old post…..yes it is the same.

We have in the past for some of the very same reasons listed. There is a fun party vibe to the Vibe often and we usually meet great friends. The Haven sun deck is snoozeville. In the Haven pool area, there are sometimes kids that are not the most behaved, so it is a reprieve from that too. But if there are a lot of ports where we intend on getting off the ship, the Vibe is simply not worth it for the hours they are open. So we normally base our decision on that.

Looks like she is still there!

Did they switch their itinerary? Are they going to GSC tomorrow or a sea day then DR?
-
Oh no, on her in a few weeks. Keep us updated!

I don't think there are many people left of the big band generation who are still cruising. Now an Elvis impersonator maybe?
I live in a 55+ community, everyone still talks about the Elvis impersonator who was here over. A year ago, so yes you are spot on!

Agree on several fronts, Six - not my cup of tea, Syd Normans - so good that I now only book cruises that have it. NCL should develop similar shows to meet different demographics. Maybe a big band era show playing the same time as Syds for older folks?

Following along! Thanks for doing this live trip report. Worrisome that you had to wait 40 minutes for a table for dinner. Never waited that long in the Haven dining room. Everyone must have all tried to eat at the same time.

Check the cruise to verify that 3rd/4th free is available first. Need to check the specific cruise date too. Not available on all.
