  1. Right now, demand is telling that people are buying.  January cruises (which should be a slow time) are selling out.  Who knows about a year from now, since our economy is about to slow down, fast.  Many of us on here may not have the same vacation budgets next year or the next five years that we do now.  For us, we go, and enjoy every minute of it not worrying about the size of a zucchini or the cost of an up charge because life is too short.

  2. They still are a terrific value when compared to the alternative.  Has anyone priced a trip to Disney lately?  Where the dining plan was completely eliminated?  Going through a fast food line, which now takes 20-30 minutes because of a lack of labor (where I live at least, traveled this week to Chicago where they were surprisingly efficient) now costs $12.00.  A large Diet Coke that was $1 for years is now $1.29 or $1.39 depending on region. Do the percentage on that increase.  But for some reason people want to hold cruise lines to the same prices/standards that they were at previously.  It is not possible in the world we live in today.

  3. I really think this would be allowed.  If someone asked if they could have a soup instead of an app, I can’t see them turning that down. I have never been told no to anything I have asked for like that, being a super picky eater I sub things all the time.  But I have never said give me one of every app you have.

  4. Do you think it is a reaction to people always looking for loop holes?  People ordering one of every app and sides just to try them all, which I have seen reported on here.  It only takes a few people to ruin things for everyone.  I personally don’t see how anyone could (or should) eat more than 1-1-1-1.

  5. I never understood how people could order multiple apps and sides, not from a is it allowed standpoint, but from a consumption standpoint.  On cruises we have a hard time finishing one of each and by day 3 skipping apps, by day 6 skipping desserts.  It is just too much food.

  6. You can basically get drinks with one alcohol in it.  It is very limited.  I saw 2 woman very upset one cruise when everything they wanted was denied.  If you like more variety, it is better to take the FAS.  If you drink rum and Coke or drinks like that,, then it will work fine.  It does not include everything up to 15 like some people have mentioned.  It does include bottled water.

  7. I can’t remember the last time I have had any service in a land hotel, it is a sign of the times.  Even staying 4/5 days for business, they don’t touch the rooms these days, and by the end I have garbage cans overflowing.  I take that back, Omni Hotel did, but rooms were over $600 a night.   Thankful they still do it once a day on ships.

  8. Obviously you don’t fly often or you would know those charges are typical on most airlines, other than Southwest.  Some low cost airlines even charge for carry on luggage these days.  Not NCL’s fault or issue.  You might be able to get seats together at the airport, but wouldn’t count on it entirely.  If it is that important to you, pay to select your seats.

  9. These seem more like drink charges.  Are you 100% sure you had the drink package or 100% sure you upgraded to plus?  I’ve read where people thought they did, but failed to check in the box when they booked.  Were drinks bought for anyone not on a drink package that were with you?  The numbers could be lower since if you have reg drink plan and did not upgrade to plus and order something not included the cost is only the difference between the cost and $15.
