I am in a process to book dinning time for upcoming cruise on Ruby. By any chance do you know which MDR to consider? Our cabin is on deck 11. I try to figure out which one of the three of them to choose. Thanks and enjoy your trip
They are really all the same, just depends on location. For dinner I think Botticelli is less crowded...DaVinci is more centrally located.

What is the Super Tuscan lunch?
And thanks for doing this. We're will be on the Ruby in November!
It's an Italian lunch with wine pairings. I don't think I've ever seen it advertised...evidently you're just supposed to know. We asked the head waiter at the embarkation lunch. $60 per person, held in Sabatinis.

I don't do live from posts but usually do a review when I get home. That being said, I am currently on the Ruby and having a wonderful time. We got the invite to the Chef's Table, signed up for the Super Tuscan lunch and my husband won $25 in Princess prizes. If you have any questions about the ship, I'm happy to answer.

Hi all,
Anyone been in E728 on Royal recently? Any noise from the Vista Lounge. Unfortunately I am a light sleeper.
Thanks
Depends what time you go to bed. Unfortunately, you are on the side with the stage, I stayed on the other side last year and didn't hear a thing.

Looking at cruises for next year, it appears costs are up, ships are filling up with minimum deposits, and my offers are not as good as 2024. The issue with casino offers is you have to pay in full. If I wait to book then the cabin location may not be available. Will offers improve, will costs go down, will people cancel? I guess I could book with insurance and if I need to cancel either get my money back or get a future credit.
I board Saturday. I plan on introducing myself to the casino host and see if I can get any information on casino cruises. I used to get hearts offers all the time, even did a prestige cruise once, I'm gambling the same and nada. Luckily I got 3 booked when I had offers.

I want to respond to those of you who say we want something for nothing. This was not a hurricane or something out of their control. This was totally something that should have been responded to immediately and they failed to do so.
I am not exaggerating-- these booming noises were occurring several hundred times for the first six nights, sometimes as often as three of them in a five second span. Every time we would about dose off to sleep they would start up. They were loud enough they would shake our door and wall. We were walking zombies throughout the excursion, and no one bothered to check it out until night #6. Once they did and found it, they profusely apologized for what they put us through. This was not some ordinary noise or issue. Again,we've been on 16 cruises and no cruise is perfect. This was a completely different matter and completely within their control. I'm going to put it behind me but was looking for advice, not condemnation.
I've heard stories of people going to Guest Services in their PJ's and not leaving until something was done. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.

First of all the heading should specify Alaska. I did a cruisetour to Machu Picchu and it ws 5 stars all the way. It is pricey and worth every penny.

If you don’t mind, please come back and let us know how this went. We cruise in 3 weeks and in the same situation.
Ok, I'll know in a week

I was told on the phone that, if I wanted, I could pay to book my specialty reservations while waiting for my Premier package to show up on my account and then I could have the cost of the pre-paid reservations refunded onboard as OBC.
awesome. Thanks

We cruise in a week and booked with the Plus package. I've decided to upgrade us to the Premium. I've already booked 2 specialty dining. Any idea if they'll refund the $ paid since it's before the cruise?

While I'm not telling you to not book ahead, I certainly would and do myself. However there were no available reservations while I was on the Discovery in February, and for the entirety of the meal over half of the tables in the the Crown Grill were empty.
I've never been in a Sabatini's or the Crown Grill without half of the tables being empty, perhaps Rudy's is different but I'm not a seafood person.
Secondly, if you read the casino threads, there's always talk about players being comp'd meals at the specialty restaurants, that wouldn't be possible if they were totally booked before the cruise left the dock.
I would be surprised that even without a reservation, if you showed up as a party of two just after 5pm, that there would not be an available table.
I'd still try to make a reservation though.
You should try Rudi's. My husband said the filet he had was better than anyone he's had at the CG.

Can we order from the dining room using the app?
no. the only people who can order from the MDR are full suites guests and even that must be done over the phone.

I think if you go through to the final page, it says 0. It did for me.

I believe it’s still possible to order multiple main courses in the MDR with the exception of lobster although I’ve never done it.
It is. My husband often orders 2. The joy of being 6' 7".

Silent Disco Experience in the Piazza? That's not a normal Princess offering is it? That will be insta friendly.
when I was on the Discovery in January they did one and said they were trying it out. Must have been successful.

You'll love her. Her crew was ranked #1 for Princess ships. I was on her a year ago and there wasn't anything I disliked.

I cruised in both December and January and on both (FLL and LA), that once you got inside, they called Elite to board. Those lanes are for getting into the terminal.

I asked that at the excursion desk when I went down to get my tickets. They just said you don't need them. They weren't very friendly about it either.

last month, they just told us to go to the bus. It was weird. This was out of LA.

Yes for excursions, no for transfers

I sail in 15 days and mine shows nothing except the ports of call.

Just curious if the prices at Crooners have gone up. I saw the new martini prices on the Sun and more than 50% are now higher than the plus package covers. Trying to decide if I need to upgrade.
Thanks

ya, cause I'm totally confused and now I need a drink 🍸
I am having a Sailing Through the Orchids which I first had at Crooners in January. Though it is extremely difficult to find Spiced Pear Liquor so I bought Pear Liquor and spiced it myself.

Only Vines and Salty Dog Gastropub. To me Vines is more of a share an appetizer than an actual meal. They will on various sea days open up Planks and Steamers. They get busy!
