I don't have any photos for these so called cabins as you put it. The steward was kind enough to show us, and I had no intention of getting him in any trouble by putting them on here.

Forgot to say the new rooms also have the very nice glass shower bathrooms. You can also tell the new rooms as the stateroom doors are a matt wood.

The new rooms are 8116 to 8130. The steward showed me the rooms that were being used by the workers onboard. Very nice they are, we swapped our next four cruises to these while we were onboard. Hope this helps.

All in the same position , but all new staterooms like those on deck 13.

Each room does now have a wi fi hot spot in,and is much faster than before.

We were also on this short trip. All of my now 49 cruises have been with Cunard and this was by far the worst for service. Main dining room food was luke warm at best, and the food choices are now very small compared to how they once were. King's Court seemed to be fine. Had a drink in casino and chart room and both didn't taste great like the glasses still had some kind of detergent in them,asked my wife to taste it and she said the same. They seemed to of got rid of my favourite drink London pride in most bars. Did I know it may be a bit of a trial run..yes..was it ..yes ,will I go again ..yes, but things need to improve going forward. Our steward on deck 8 was great and had no problems.

Deck 8 new carpet, Bathroom still has shower curtain.

We are also looking forward to being on the first trip...we were on the first cruise after the remastering from Hamburg in 2016.

We have now been moved, same location but starboard side. They expect those cabins to be out of action for another month.

Cunard have just called me telling us the aft cabins on deck 8 are not now available due to essential maintenance for the 16th November short cruise. Are looking at trying to upgrade us. But are trying to stick us in BC on deck 12 forward with adjoining doors. Will update when I know more

We are on the first cruise on 16th November in a aft stateroom on deck 8. So will soon find out.

I'm back on for the first cruise on the 16th November after the refit, so will have a good look round her to see what they have done.

Currently have 23 MBPS Download, fast enough to stream YouTube and netflix using a fire stick.

Still not had ours installed yet ,but can say it's already the fastest speed I have had on any cunard ship in over 50 cruises, using my phone as a hotspot and 3 devices connected.

May not be today just sometime during this cruise.

Not as yet , will try it when they have fitted ours and update.

We are on the QV 4 day cruise. In todays programme it states all staterooms will today be fitted with a new wi fi hot spot , and should take around 15 minutes.

We always do the first cruise on Qm2 after any refit , just to see what's new. Hope the wi fi in room is true. Guess we will find out in November.
