  1. Yep. Currently on my balcony enjoying a blue blue ocean. BTW, we went to the comedy show last night. If you enjoy adult comedy, it is really good. Notsomuch if you get offended. Not a judgement - just a comment.
  2. @Radio thanks for the updates. The best part for me is, while I'm actually on here with you in real time, I'm still learning things from your posts! Keep it up!
  3. Going to be honest, I saw huge snaking lines at the Windjammer as I walked by. But - also going to be honest, I think only as I walked by at peak time. Otherwise it seemed unremarkable.
  4. As well as I can tell Mike Marino was not on ship at all. And he definitely didn't do the welcome show. Collin Moulton did well. Enjoyed both his work at the Welcome show and in the comedy club.
  5. Just finished my first formal night in Coastal Kitchen (on Oasis). Hit or miss. Some people wearing polos, 2-3 men in suits, some people with t-shirts. Really people doing whatever they want.
  6. I like that. My card travels with me everywhere I travel (which I do a good bit) and it is slowly getting tattered. Need to look into something like that.
  7. Apparently that is the case. Effectively they have decided they don't care (is my impression, I do not know that as fact).
  8. Well, exactly. Just reporting on the experience as this new policy went into effect. They've moved to effectively no Covid protocols.
  9. Hey folks, as I know this is new - and YMMV. We just boarded Oasis out of Bayonne this AM. When we were checking in, we made sure we brought our vax cards and were ready to present. Here was our experience with the process. Royal associate: "Hi, good morning. Are you both vaccinated?" Me: "Yep" My Wife: "Do you need to see our cards?" Royal associate: "Nope" So - the vax check just like the testing, are effectively perfunctory at this point. For show, I suppose. Will be interested if others have the same experience.
  10. We'll be joining the first leg of your B2B! Doing final preparations as we speak!
  11. The suggestion I've seen is - for first timers (like us, and it sounds like you) maybe lean towards going every night (unless you have affirmative other plans) and then use that to decide in the future. Lots of different reactions on this board.
  12. Liking this post isn't enough. Bravo! Irritates me when people think *they* are the ones above the rules.
  13. Sounds great! I'm not a huge lamb fan (but my Wife is) and I'm fairly certain she's going to replicate your order. So - thank you! 🙂
  14. Great answers, thank you! Question - would you know if the lobster is the same quality as the MDR lobster? Last time in the MDR my lobster was mushy. 😞
  15. Definitely a superior product vs Oasis (based on my experience on both).
  16. We sailed Oasis back in May (2nd sailing for the season out of Hoboken, I believe) and did MTD and had to battle every night to get seated. Had to argue all nights but 1 to get our wait staff (whom we liked very much). We were delayed, too. Worth mention, I made reservations each night. We're sailing again leaving 9/11. In this case as we're in a Suite we're going to be at CK, but I will push my Wife in the future to do traditional early or late seating. MTD was a headache. BTW, I don't even completely blame the folks managing it. They had people show up extra early and demand to be seated in certain areas, etc... But this worked poorly, regardless. Not consistent with previous experiences on Anthem.
  17. Compared to Anthem (our other RCCL experience) we were not impressed with the Windjammer back in May. I actually liked it a lot more for a late dinner (we'd go some days for a 'snack' after regular dinner) than lunch. Was a zoo. They designed it, supposedly, smaller, because the expectation is that people will use the other offerings. Turns out that I think they underestimated people preferring the convenience of the buffet.
  18. Our kids would eat with us, and then we'd go to the kids club. I have no experience with the process of returning to the table. I suppose it is possible. Dress code is clothed. I am a little tongue in cheek but people cut a LOT of slack for little ones. They should dress what makes them comfortable.
  19. We were on the Oasis out of NJ in May and on my last day had a tickle in my throat. It bloomed into a ~2.5 day cold. My Wife also had about a 2 day cold. We both tested positive for Covid. Our 2 children, who remained in close contact with us both on the cruise and in our home, were negative the entire time. We do not seek out covid for fun, but we've resolved to live our lives, trust science (actual science) and get vaxxed and as appropriate boosted, live generally healthy lifestyles and move on. My Wife and I are going back on the Oasis leaving 9/11, and we'll not mask, or avoid people but will practice proper hygiene.
  20. I do not minimize the novel coronavirus and its risks. I am fully vaxxed and boosted as is my family. As someone who has cruised only 10-12 times in my life, I'm 100% sure, confirmed 1 person died on a cruise I was on. And I'm about 85-90% sure on another cruise I had a fatality. People get sick, especially older people with underlying conditions. Older people seem to die on cruises sometimes (younger people more rarely). And it makes sense if lots of people congregate in an a place that over a period of time, some people die. I have fairly limited expectations for medical care aboard the ship whatever the illness. This sort of comes with the territory. A low, but never 0 risk.
  21. Super simple question - when does first boarding begin? We have an 11 am health check/boarding, but just received an email from the concierge that says - "Sky Suite guests can enjoy Flexible Arrival — a new program allowing the freedom to check in up to one hour before or after your scheduled check-in time while the terminal is open." Would they be accepting guests at 10 or 10:30? Or is 11 the earliest?
